I just finished my Noodle and Lou purse with a little Gucci addition......
As you can see I decided to line my purse...I love this Ruby Star fabric..........and a little polk a dot ribbon to hide the seam around the top.......with another addition of these cute Gucci girl patches.........
Well just wanted to show you my purse....I think Jenn ( Noodle and Lou) may still have some purses to order...go to her website to see if she still is offering them..........

even though it's extremely hot outside I want these summer days and weeks to slowwwwwwww down........I love summer and all it has to offer........friday and saturday to stay cool Mr. Tom and I went on a couple day trips just around here in Oklahoma hiting a few antique stores and enjoying eating out a few times at some really fun restaurants.....the Farmer's Daughter if you are ever in Tahlequah Oklahoma you need to stop.....everything is so fresh and delicious....and they have a delicious bakery to either have dessert their or take home something for later......
here are a few of my purchases over the weekend.....
and had to get these buttons below.....if you are ever in the part of Oklahoma over by Shawnee take a short trip east to Meeker Oklahoma...go and see Sandi at the Meeker Mercantile....she has the most incredible antiques and orices you can't beat and a really sweet person to go along with it.......I love always going to Sandys to see all her wonderful treasures.....
just as we were leaving Meeker to head home I mentioned to Tom if we see a farmers roadside stop I would love to get some produce.....not long after I said that guess what, we looked up and passed this roadside stand ......... I said turn around....we did and so happy we did....fresh corn that just had been picked that morning.....and it is so good!
This is why I LOVE SUMMER................
well anyway we had a great weekend and I hope you did too.......these hot temps are really extreme and trying to figure out what to do on the weekends staying inside are tricky but if you can hit some inside antique stores ,if thats your thing their are plenty out there to hit!

Do you remember charm bracelets? Back in the 60's and 70"s every girl had one and they were really popular........any time you would go on vacation or any special event or place you visited they always had these to sell........my best friend in high school gave me my first charm " Happy Birthday " with the date and her name on the back of the charm but I wore it so much it wore off.......that is what started this crammed packed silver bracelet.......... I still love it today....I don't wear it as much as I use to but I pulled it out the other day after Glitter Retreat because Annette Tyler was wearing hers and it reminded me to get it out and wear it this summer.....so here it is!
And I only have this box full of more to get soldered on..........I doubt they will all fit!
Anyway thanks Annette for reminding me to wear it....if you have one do what I did and get it out and wear it..........so much fun!

my noodle friend put me onto this Brooklyn Haberdashery.......well I just had to...these are so fun to pick up and let your needle and thread go.......I only have 92 left to do....100 to start out!

well thats just a little bit of worktable/lap going ons.........
In January 2023 along with 10 other stitching friends we started the " Queenies" block of the month.....to say the least it was so much fun and the highlight of each month to receive your block in the mail from one of the other stitchers......we did not choose a theme but whatever you wanted to choose for your block.......if you don't know what all the BOM is it's where each month you have a designated person to be in charge of sending each of the other 10 a kit of everything you would need to stitch the 8x8 square..... you would design and stitch up the sample to give them an idea and send a photo of yours .....at the end of the year we were all going to get together to complete our books but everyone is so busy and those that are out of state its even harder to find a time everyone can get together so we all decided to put our books together on our own.... I finally finished mine this past week and one day after everyone else finishes theirs I will share each of the pages.......in January of this year 2024 The " Queenies" started our 2nd year...this year we had a theme " HOME".......we lost a couple gals and gained a couple.....so far we are having fun........at least I am! I hope the others are too....anyway just thought I would share what a fun year long project you might want to start with some of your friends .............remember though that their is only 12 months out of the year so you and 11 friends could share in this fun project!!!

So much goes into doing retreats....big things and little things mean so much to the attendees and Cindy has always been a pro and generous of all the xyz's to make everything special........for instance the last day setting on each of our places was this sweet tote with all kinds of special things inside......( minus the punch needle) when I got home I found this punch needle I had punched several years ago and knew one day I would be able to use it and this tote was the perfect match...so I sewed it on with a couple little extras....below is a photo before and after..
Of course I had to add a little shrink plastic on the zipper pull......the buttons added a little whimsy.......if you are interested in the punch needle pattern it is from Notforgotten Farm.... don't know if it is still available because I have had it for several years but you may check their website....anyway thought you might like to see what I did to my sweet Glitter Retreat tote....and thank you once again Cindy for making each treat special........
