So I decided to turn these quilted dogs into stand up pillow dogs..............

 

Still deciding on the others and more dog ideas and patterns to come up soon...........happy thursday!

the smell of fresh bread..............

It's been a while since I have made homemade bread........today seemed like a perfect day since the roads are all iced over and the temps are still freezing........so why not.......

 

I still use my trusty ole kitchen Aid I have had for over 45 years........it still works and I love it for the dough hook!  I hardky ever use it for any thing else.....I also use my Mother in laws bread recipe  have had for 50 years.........yes...she gave it to me the first year we were married and I have been making bread from this recipe ever since....fail proof.....

Anyway just thought I would pop in to say Happy Monday and wish you were here to have a piece of homemade bread with me.........and not to mention that the house smells incredible! SORRY!

well  have had this idea for sometime to do a quilt with a couple of these dogs in the middle but they may just end up on pillows instead.....I made this pattern into 3 different sizes...the pink and blue are the largest then the green below are the medium....haven't cut out any of the small ones yet but instead of the cutter quilts I used for these I may use some linen and cotton...the bulkiness of the quilts may be to much for how small they are........we will see....anyway this is what I am up to right now!

woodie update and a few hearts.......

It's been a while since any update on the woodie.......well we finally can say it is REALLY coming together......we went to look at it today and the guy is getting ready to put the finders back on and hopefully the hood etc. and we may have it all together soon......the color I picked is a creamy white to show off the wood.....I cannot tell you how excited I am to hopefully being able to take a ride.....maybe the next time I show a photos we will be sitting and driving around! Stay tuned.......

 

Since the weather has been cold and nasty out I have been doing a little of this and that stitching with some red and pink hearts since Valentines day is just around the corner...have no idea what to do with them but I am keeping my hands warm stitching away........

it's cold in yukon america.........

yippee we are up to 5 now......earlier today we were at 0 for a while.........stay warm and safe my friends out there.......it's brutal!!!!
