Worked on the Nut Cracker Stitch group from the new Noodle and Lou Christmas Girl Ornaments.........far from being finished but having fun with these......
these little curly things on her tu tu are called Drizzle stitches........these take a little bit of time because you take the thread out of the needle and depending on how long you want the drizzles you count how ever many times around the needle you want........I did 15, 18 and the long ones have 25 wraps.......but look how fun they are on this particular application!!!!
I used a lot of my wool thread on these because it looked a little more wintery and fuzzy........also some fun metallic threads ( they are a pain but really add a lot of texture)! Some velvet as always...............
And this little guy took a little time to do since it is so tiny.........but it absolutely makes this girl pop! I still have a way to go with all the little details..........hope to finish these up soon o I can enjoy them whether I use them as small pillows, wall hanging or ornaments......we will see and I will take some photos when I do.
Anyway just thought I would share what I did yesterday on a super lazy sunday........slow stitching!!!!
Happy Monday and have a great week to start this December 2021..................

I have a big class coming up next week and I am trying to get everything ready......a few months ago my niece asked if I could have a class for about 19 of her friends and family.....of course I can but what do you want me to teach for a young and mature group together......hmmmm.......the last time I had this large group we made the large Martini Decoupage candy dishes and they all seemed to enjoy .........so this time we wanted it to be a Christmas theme so I remembered one year at the Paper Crown we did a Christmas themed Tray out of old frames and handles...below is the one I did for that class....
So I have collected old frames that will work . I have also painted some and left some in their original color....... they all need handles so those have been purchased and collected to match each frame.......the content under the glass is ephemera like old Christmas cards, ledger paper, old book pages, stickers, some new scrapbook paper, dresden pieces, ribbon, lace .......before you finish the back you sprinkle some mica flakes or snow glitter to make it sparkle and look like snow.........the photo below is the one I made for this class and will give it for one of the door prizes......
Anyway it should be fun with this group........hopefully I will have photos of their finished trays.........and this will also be my last class for 2021...........hopefully 2022 will be a little different and we can squeeze a few more classes in than we did last year!
Hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving Day yesterday and ready for the holiday season to begin.........Hello Christmas..........

One more of Jenn McGlon's ( aka noodle and lou) wonderful girl embroidery patterns.............how cute is this Christmas darling......I really tried hard to make the dress christmas plaid but it is a little wonky because if you try to do any kind of embroidery on velvet it is so tricky.....but I left it wonky and with the green ruffle it kind of hides all of the messy looking plaid.......anyway it was so much fun as usual......... one more panel I can add to the other girls and one day made into a quilt......
hope you all are enjoying this fall weekend before Thanksgiving getting ready for the big day.............looking forward to hopefully a normal holiday once again!!!
HAPPY SATURDAY.........

French Paper Dolls all dressed up for Christmas.........
With a little ribbon, crepe paper, bells, velvet, tassels and charms you can turn any paper doll into a 3D decoration to use on the Christmas TREE, on a gift package or a pick in a plant since they have a pic glued to the back so you can place it into the planter or tree........it has a lot of uses you just need to use your imagination......I also have some of the sweet little girl pics besides these.......see you all on saturday!
Happy Monday..........
