was this......
My dear donut eating friends birthday was last week so we went to get donuts this morning and I gave her this Japanese Rice bag.....and a little friendship book was inside.......(my newest thing to make! ) Inside the book is all kinds of ephemera and things she likes, like flowers ( blue bonnets) farming, birds, red white and blue, children, dogs, cowgirls, funny sayings and just fun little things I thought fit her personality and favorite things.......I won't show you all the pages but here is just a few.......
Anyway it was fun to celebrate with my donut eating friend and catching up.........
I hope to have some more of these friendship books available to sell soon. If anyone is interested email me at jpeter@cox.net........these can be personalized ......and a fun gift to give or maybe just something for yourself.....there are many places for you to use as a journal to write , pockets and tuck areas to hold just about whatever you want..... add photos, and even add more fun things you might have .........
Happy Tuesday and remember " Do something creative today".........

Lately in the evenings when we are watching TV I am not in the mood to do much except mindless type things, if you know what I mean....making tags is so much fun and there are no rules , wrong or right way to make them....just gather up a punch of photos, ephemera, scrapbook papers, old papers, cut outs and anything you can think of to glue on a bunch of tags and start creating .....on these I even did a little stamping to make them look really old and a little ink around the edges to add that extra distressed look.....each one has a pocket at the bottom to hold something that can have a written note or whatever you want to add to make it a little more personable .........I am not completely finished with all of them but just thought I would throw an idea out to you and maybe on these long summer evenings when it's to hot to go outside and you are stuck inside watching tv you might want to try and make a few............have fun!
hope the rest of the week is a good one.........happy tagging!

About 15 years go or longer I use to work at a Local Coffee shop called The Java Joint.......besides coffee we would serve Italian Sodas........completely forgot about them until the other day I saw on someones blog or an advertisement and thought why not make one........so I already had everything except the club soda......super super easy and so refreshing on a hot humid day like today.......fill the bottom of your glass with as much syrup as you like ( any flavor of your choice, raspberry, cherry, strawberry skys the limit but I like plain old vanilla) then add the ice to the top, add the club soda to about 3/4 of the way and then add the cream or half and half........you can also use coffee creamer if you don't have half and half or real whip cream....I try to get the fat free and little of sugar as possible so I get the sugar free syrup.....stir add a straw a little spray whip cream and enjoy this little afternoon treat!
Hope you are enjoying the afternoon.......try and Italian Soda sometime........
