Well I am headed out tomorrow for Seattle for one of Terri Brush's retreats to teach and enjoy being with her and taking in all of the beauty of her studio and surroundings.......a first for me! Excited to do something a little different and out of my comfort zone for sure.............it will definitely be fun to meet new people and teach in Terri's beautiful studio.......I hope to take plenty of photos but if you want to check out what is going on instagram Terri will be posting I'm sure ...........

noodle and lou sweet patterns.................

Jenn McGlon AKA Noodle and Lou has gone and created another one of her embroidery girl panels...........she is the perfect fit for completing my Noodle and Lou quilt/wall hanging......

She will fit perfectly in the lower left corner..........now I need to decide if I want to border around each one or just try and figure out how to sew them all together so they will fit......anyway I am so excited to add this newest one ..............we shall see!

tags.......

I always love getting out a bunch of supplies and make tags.......whether its paper or fabric it's always fun and there are no rules, right or wrong way to make them......the ones I did yesterday are a little sturdier because I used book board instead of regular manila type paper tags .....and decided to make some fabric pockets to hold a few in. I used scrap pieces of old linen and just stitched the side and bottom and added little bits and pieces of lace and ribbon to give it that organic look......just something a little different plus if you use them for a gift you can always tuck a gift card or money inside the pocket along with the tag............. this time of year it's graduation, weddings, showers, babies and birthdays.........so I am now stocked up on my dwindling supply of tags.

Fun Summer Pocket Travel Journal...........June 17- 5:30-8:30........we will make this pocket journal out of a file folder than has been folded accordian style with plenty of pockets to hold photos, receipts, pages to write on and the best part is you can easily tuck in your travel bag or purse......there are so many little tuck spots, pockets and areas to add those memories of your summer vacation 2021!

Butterfly All Day Class..........July 9.........10:00-3:30

This will take all day to make everything that will go into this Folder booklet.........the cover is from France and I have been saving them for a special class......I have a limited number .

 

Inside of the booklet on the left side tucked into the side pocket is two booklets to write in or add photos.......left side panel is a little pocket with several book marks

on the inside right panel is the bigger journal.........

new printer and a sneak peek.........

Well I did it finally......after researching and looking around for several months now ( I should of bought one a year ago, oh well) here she is.....I ended up with another Epson, " Work Force Pro WF 4740 " .........The photo quality is excellent I couldn't resist, and the reason I bought my first Epson in the first place is because of their photo quality.....not that I use it for photos all the time , I need it for good quality copy and print for the classes I teach......not realizing how bad it was until yesterday when I printed out a few things for this new class  I am working on........below are a few photos......( I know one gal who will be thrilled with the theme) not mentioning any names..........

Any way just letting you all know how wonderful it is to have a brand new printer that I don't have to yell at to print copies anymore.....love my new printer!

Does anyone have suggestions for a new ink jet printer........I have had my epson artisan 835 for 6-7 years .....  it has been a good one until the last year or so..........I go through a lot of ink and have spent a small fortune on ink cartridges and paper for classes etc.......so I am trying to get some feedback........ if you are reading this and have a suggestion on printers PLEASE  let me know because I need one now.......Thank You!

Here she is.........how bout a Patriotic fabric house with all kinds of stitches, ribbons, buttons, fabrics, ric rac, trim of all kinds, bits and pieces of quilts, a little shrink plastic and a few little extras like the firecrackers for the chimney.......this will definitely be an all day class with a light lunch and snacks.  I have 2 dates right now and just seeing which one will work...the Dates will either be friday June 11 or tuesday June 15.....if you are interested please email me at jpeter@cox.net and let me know.......remember seats are limited.........thank you.

I now have a small little village of these little houses......Christmas, Cowgirl , Sweet one we made in one of Charlotte Lyons classes a few years back and now this Patriotic one.....and maybe in the fall we will combine Halloween and Thanksgiving together....... we will see! Anyway I hope this little house will be fun to stitch and construct.....this is for someone who likes to do hand stitching because it is all stitching without a machine......

this week.........

This past summer I took the French General Summer Stitching class and one of the pages we stitched had some English Paper Piecing.........something new to me but had fun doing them but put them away until a couple months ago when I ordered this new book and thought I needed to learn more and do more of this old time stitching.....thought it was a good time to bring out some of my newest Tilda fabric and make a few......don't have a clue on how they will be used but it was fun.  I need to do more and different shapes....

This time of year once again enjoying these beauties....

I only have a few sneak peeks of 1 class to be taught in June......haven't finished the sample but hopefully in the next couple days I will have it finished and give you the date......

Sorry I only have one class on the horizon but I just finished getting all of my stuff for the Terri Brush retreat shipped off yesterday and it has taken me 2 full weeks of non stop......now that I have it done I can concentrate a little more now on summer classes.....but this first one is going to be RED*WHITE*BLUE themed......and stitching............

 

Been a crazy busy week but looking forward to this Mother's Day weekend.......have a great Thursday!
