Well here is a little bead doodling.....I have always loved sequins and beads so thought this would be a fun project with this book I have had for some time.....also working on some other beaded projects and may be for purchase for Valentine's Day....hopefully I can get enough photos next week to share......seems like I can only post a couple of photos for each post so we will see....

Wow I can finally post some photos from the last two weeks......Don't know what really has happened but it is working right now and I am going for it....

Well it has happened once again.....something is terribly wrong with our internet service and I apologize if you have tried to leave comments....Last week we did some changes and it has thrown everything out of kilter but hopefully in the next couple days it will be corrected and we will be back.......so sorry!
And this is what my hair would look like .......sticking straight up if I let it every time the computer, phone or tv acts up .........but I am backing away to see if it will correct itself!

After a couple months of not having fresh flowers on my kitchen island I thought it was time to change that situation....so yesterday while I was out picking up a few things I decided to head over to Trader Joe's and see what they had to offer.....as usual they had a big selection and these came home with me........a little bright never hurts to have around!
here so far on my new project from yesterdays find...
A lot of tracing on fusible paper and cutting and placing.......we will see.......little pieces to tack down but I think that is what caught my eye about this project!

I have not been shopping in so long that today I thought it would be a great idea to go check out one of our local quilt shops......guess what..... this beautiful mini hanging caught my eye right away and I just had to get it....one good thing it was a kit so all of the wool, velvet and beads were all included! They had the sample in the store and it was done beautifully.......my New Year's first project . It is small enough to fit in your lap if you are traveling......or just watching tv........oh Boy!!!!!
And here is the other purchase.......Sue Spargo's book called Fresh Cuts....so many fun floral patterns........
So you know what I will be doing in the evenings ........love all the bright colors in each of these and what a way to start out the New Year with color color color.........just makes me happy!

this handmade gift from my dear friend Nan Nix is one to treasure and cherish..........just look at the perfection stitching and all of the wonderful surprises inside......absolutely something that was definitely needed after all that we went through in the month of December.......Thank You Nan for this special gift that will be hanging up all year long in my freshly clean and organized workroom........
If you are interested in purchasing any of the beautiful ribbons, velvet, felt and threads they are all from the Paper Crown Waco.......Cindy is a pro at putting these things together and wrapping them up.......
Anyway I hope you all are enjoying these cold winter days after the holidays are over.....as I mentioned I took this entire week to clean and organize my workroom.....I won't tell you how many trash bins are full and a car load with the back seats down of STUFF I took to our church's goodwill store......in fact the two ladies who helped me get the stuff out said it looks like you cleaned out a craft room....I just laughed!!!!!! I now need to go through each room in this house and get rid of more STUFF but for today and tomorrow I am just gonna chill.......

The past 3 weeks have been a blurrrrrrr.........so we are starting the New Year in thankful and positive ways......
Like this beautiful and precious gift I received last week when I needed it from a dear friend who is one of the most talented stitchers around.....and one I have talked about many times Nan! Just look at this unbelievable monogramed stocking......you really need to see it in person to appreciate the details and precise stitching that went into making it so gorgeous! When I can get some better photos I will show you the entire stocking and the contents inside, you won't believe it! Thank You Nan more than you will ever know at a time when I needed it and to see your face from a distance on the front porch.......
Last night I also got a text from another talented and sweet friend Jenn McGlon ( aka noodle and Lou) saying that she had comments on her IG account for the photo of my girls from her Doll Patterns she has designed........ Thank You Jenn........and I am anxiously waiting for the new one.........
Many of you have kept busy this past year stitching and thank goodness many talented teachers have offered classes......... I tried to keep up with a few projects and here is another one I did back in June from the French General......summer stitch camp......
then in late summer Charlotte Lyons offered another fun class:
Also from another one of Charlottes previous classes we made houses , from that I decided to make this little gingerbread house
These I have been working on for a couple of years and decided to pull them out a while back and do something with them......they are so much fun and you can continue to just keep adding new stitches and beads.......
This kind of brings me to the end for now I don't want to bore you....but hopefully the new year will bring more stitching projects and so thankful for the talented people who teach and provide us with inspiration to keep our fingers and minds busy while we are trying to overcome what we just did this past year ....... I know it has helped me.........thank you to all of you!
