Teaching in Waco..........

Monday November 18 11:00-2:00 Christmas Sacred Heart class.....If you all know by now we are all crazy about the wonderful velvet Cindy carries at the Paper Crown.  We have used it in so many of the classes through the years and we will probably continue in the future...... this one will hopefully be a keepsake for you or a gift to someone special. Again you can call the Paper Crown Waco to sign up for both or one of these upcoming classes in Nov. 

As always I love teaching at the Paper Crown and love seeing new and old familiar students. Hope to see you all soon..........

thursday this and that........

If you love musicals and live in the OKC metro or close by and would like to have an evening out go and see Fiddler on the Roof........really really good .  I think we have gone every time it has been here and we always enjoy.......

Since Adam was here for a very short time I needed a little Fall decorating......nothing like Trader Joe's flowers!  Always the best, great selection and of course the prices!  This is about as much fall decorating that I have done so far but I am getting ready to start soon!

 

Keep checking back for dates, times and locations...........there may be a few surprises in between............so for today Thursday September 26 have a good one!

 

back home.........

So I am back home from a little vacation............since June 4 when Tom had his shoulder surgery we didn't know if we would take off this summer but he has recovered so well that he said he was ready to head to the west coast.........and that is what we did, in the car! We left on early sunday morning and arrived in San Luis Obispo on monday evening......stayed two days and turned around and drove home for two days......when we got home Adam came for a few days on his way to a climb in Arkansas so I have had a non stop couple weeks......now I am ready to get back and start fall planning.......

 

The first photo of the Apple Barn is in See Canyon just a little south of SLO and one of my dear friends from my growing up has this Apple Orchard with her family.  She has 8 kids and comes from a family of 8 so she has lots of help....they also have Pears, Nut trees and honey bees on the property.....If you are ever in Central California drive down by Avila Beach and you will find See Canyon.  On a side note you know how much I LOVE See's Candy........well Mary See ( the one who started See's) lived at the end of this Canyon!!!!! So that is why they call it See Canyon......

The second photo is of Morro Bay.......we grew up going to Morro Bay.........eating fish and just a small little beach town about 15 minutes from SLO......my older sister Patti married into the Evans family who are commercial fisherman, and one of the restaurants in Morro Bay is one of their clients where they sell their fish.  So you may go and see that the catch of the day was caught by Captain Travis Evans is the catch of the day.  The Table is set with his photos of him and his boat and a little history of the family.....if you are ever in MORRO BAY you need to stop in and have lunch or dinner at Dockside.......

 

Well I guess I need to get going and get some work done......some hand stitching  was done on the LONG road trip and I hope to finish up and have some dates and samples to show you what all I will be offering classes in Nov. and Dec.........

Happy Wednesday........it's fall but gonna be 91 here today in OKC.......which is perfectly okay with me!

Since the Chickasha Christmas retreat has been cancelled I thought I would  do a Christmas Stitching Journal for those of you who might of signed up for the retreat.  Even though this was not the project we would of made.......the photo above is just the start of the project but when I get more of it finished I will have a date and photo. I would like some feedback on if you would like this to be a full day stitch class with lunch or just a night class ....... The only thing with the night class and this is just my opinion, you really don't get much of it done.......the dates would not be until the first week in December because of everything I have going on in October and Nov.  If you would just leave me a comment and let me know if you are interested and if you would like a full day class or night it will help me decide.......thank you.

new labels and ribbon........

I always love ordering personalized ribbons and labels.   I have been out of labels for a while......as far as ribbon goes I like to add a little whenever I send out anything to someone who has ordered from me.....always a little more personal..........

Christmas Retreat in Chickasha cancelled.........

I got word yesterday from the gal who has the Chickasha Retreat House that she has had to cancel the Christmas Retreat Nov. 7-9......so sorry !

 

I will have some dates for classes in Waco and here but for now you can take the Save a Date off your calendar........

this is reality.........

And yes this is reality in my world right now...............it's a big ole fat MESS!

My husband never comes in this room because he's afraid something will bite him or he will fall over on the piles I have sitting on the floor............oh well......I can't even believe I ever let it get this way but I am going in a million directions right now.....with Fall classes coming up and doing a couple out of town things I have my plate full......it seems like I need everything that is out and if it's nice and tidy and put back in it's place I won't get much accomplished.  So that is my excuse.
