It's always a fun surprise to see something that you have created and someone shares your art back. I received this sweet card from Fran for my birthday and I love what she did with my stamp.....Thank you Fran and Thank You to all who have sent me birthday wishes.......I appreciate all my friends out there!

The oh so talented Jenn McGlon also known as "Noodle and Lou" has done it once again .......she has come out with the most awesome Doll embroidery patterns. Of course I had to have them.
This is what I have come up with so far. The mushroom head and started the bird girl............
I am not real happy with the eyes but may decide to redo them.........

Thank You Cindy for introducing us all to another one of the Paper Crown girls..........we would of never known or been able to take classes from Jenn if it wasn't for this lady! We are once again thankful for your vision and generosity.

The weekend always goes by way to fast when we are in Waco at the Paper Crown.......but we always have the best time and love and savor every minute while we are there......before I taught the two classes on saturday and sunday my helper and dearest friend and I spent a couple days in Dallas at Gift Market and then headed to Waco..........
Saturday Journal Class...........
Oh what can I say about all these sweet ladies......they were so much fun and ready to create something beautiful and they did ! I just gave them a little guidance and they took off creating a beautiful Journal to enjoy just looking at or adding some special memories. We laughed , talked, carried on about anything and everything and enjoyed some delicious cookies Cindy had for them from a new Bakery in Waco called "Bittersweet"! Let's just say those were the most delicious cookies I have ever had ( and me not suppose to have that kind of stuff I indulged anyway). I wish I had taken a photo of the cookies but I am sure if you ever take a class at the PC you will have one and trust me they are wonderful.
I love it when someone comes into class and is so excited and can hardly contain themselves ........this sweet lady Lisa was so excited she would just sit and grin and clap her hands together and say I am so excited...................
Look at how wonderful these ladies Journals turned out. They did an awesome job and I want to thank each of you for being so sweet and kind and coming to class and working hard to follow my goofy instructions and just going with the flow. Thank You Thank You Thank You! I hope to see you all again in class.
My dear friend , helper, traveling buddy, sidekick, my hair stylist all those things and many more is always so sweet to drop everything and help me with classes and clean up all my Messes! We have known each other for 30 something years ( even though she is 12 years younger than me) we always have a fun time....Thank You once again Susan for helping this old lady......
And Cindy Lou.........if it wasn't for this lady none of this would be possible......she has made the Paper Crown one of the most unique places for those of us who love to create beautiful things... we have all made lasting friendships because of her love and dedication to make us all HAPPY and to have a place we can get together........so thank you and we love you Cindy....
Sunday Class was a full class and these gals did an amazing...........
I did not get individual photos of everyone but these are just a few........
Most of these gals had never tried Punch Needle before but they all caught on really quick . I am always amazed when I teach a first time Punch Needle how quickly they get it. It's really not one of the easiest things to do and a little frustrating at first but once they get the feel and hang of the needle and fabric they just take off.
Wow and what a wonderful group of ladies. You all did such an amazing job and I want to Thank You all for being such A+ students........it was truly a pleasure to have you in class. I hope to see you all again........now get those needles punching and when you finish I would love to see your finished projects.

Well my goodness.........I went from last year to this year with no hydrangeas to so many that I keep cutting and bringing them in to enjoy. I am sure it has to do with all the rain we have had this spring so far............love to look out my back doors and see these beautiful flowers.

Tuesday July 30 will be an ALL Day class ......we will make this sweet house full of paper dolls, hearts, sweet faces and whatever makes a house a home. We will start at 10:00-4:00 with lunch and snacks provided.....The cost of the class will be $ 85.00.......please email me if you are interested. seating is limited so if you reserve a place and cancel you will not be refunded, so check your calendar first. Punch Needle Initial class..........
Tuesday July 16 from 6:00-8:30 we will be making these initials. The cost of the class is $ 35.00 If you are interested in taking this class you are responsible for bringing your own Needle and 7" embroidery hoop. You can order the needles from Cindy at the Paper Crown Waco and she would be more than happy to sell you one....her phone no is 254-224-7436. The best embroidery hoops are available at either Joanns, Hobby Lobby or you can go on line at www.nosliphoops.com....they are by Morgan and they are the best for any kind of embroidery but especially when doing the punch needle because you don't have to keep adjusting and pulling. When you email me if you are interested in this class have in mind what color of background you want and of course the initial.....

We had a full house last night......with cramped quarters these gals didn't complain being on top of each other but it worked out great......the two that sat by them selves at the tiny table behaved ............ they all did great and almost finished their journals. Great Job to all of you! (And I still have not found my stapler)
I had to take a photo of the messy table.............I guess you can say progress was being made and a whole lot of where is this and that, but for the most part was a fun evening shared with some fun gals. thank You for putting up with the situation of being here instead of a real classroom....... I am still looking so don't give up on me. Until next class time "Do something creative everyday"!

What is it about June 1........seems like summer is finally here and all is well in this big ole world we live in!!!! The weather heats up, we plant new plants( and these are the first cutting of my hydrangeas this year) , thinking what to grill, wearing those loose fitting clothes, planning a weekend trip or looooooong vacation, staying up late, watching ( the Yankees) baseball, sipping ice tea or iced coffee, having friends over for dinner......just being in that state of mind does a body and soul good.
Here is to those long warm wonderful days of summer............HAPPY JUNE 1 and all summer!
