What can I say about this woman...........she is the most patient person I know! She is talented , fun, a dear friend, and would do anything for anyone.........and turned us all into stiching fanatics............If you all know Nan she lived in Oklahoma for a while before moving to Utah a few years back. She has always been a Paper Crown favorite......before she moved and after several years of CIndy begging her to teach a stitching class she finally gave in and taught her eyeglass case .

And if you know Nan she goes all out on her kits and supplies......the most generous teacher with the best of the best fabrics, threads and the time she spends with creating each kit ......Nan gives each student her individual time to make sure you are getting the stitches perfectly stitched.
Well we talked her into coming back to the Paper Crown and teach another one of her wonderful classes.......this time it was her flowers on a Jacket or whatever you wanted to stitch on......

We all had so much fun and knew this would continue on our little Whatever weekend........everyone who went took projects to work on and most of us had sewing on the brain. Let's just say Nan was out of her chair most of the time helping us all conquer the hand stitching bug.........like I said this gal is one patient human to have her name called a million times to help each one of us untie knots, asking what about this stitch, how do I do this.......on and on! Thank You sweet friend for sharing your wonderful knowledge and talent for something we have all learned to love because of you. Your the best!

Nan showed Cindy and I how to do this trellis stitch in the middle of the applique above. I wish you could of seen Cindy's.......so pretty and the colors she used were incredible....we learned how to do the bullion stitch around the hot pink petals.........I will admit that I did not do the teal color drizzle stitch in the middle.......Nan did those for me. Anyway we all went away with a great appreciation of how long it takes to do all these incredible stitches.
Last year Nan presented Cindy with a beautiful wall hanging that has the "Paper Crown Happy Place" store motto hand appliqued with everyone's name who have been a big part of the PC through the years. A true treasure from a very special lady.

Last summer I was lucky to have a day with this special friend in Utah. We stopped in Salt Lake City to visit our kids ..........she took me to all her fun fabric quilting stores and had lunch at one of her favorite restaurants " Woodland Biscuit Company".
So there you have it .........our friend ( the Paper Crown) and one of my dearest friends......Thank You for being so dear to each and everyone of us who love and appreciate your friendship.
Have a safe flight home today and I will see you in Salt Lake City again this summer!
Have a great wednesday everyone..............stitch on!
