Another fun weekend with Terri Brush at the Paper Crown........thank you Terri for sharing your talent and creations with us so we can all make beautiful things! Not only do you leave your beautiful studio where you teach but to pack up everything is a task in itself, so we love that you will do this! We all went away with not only beautiful projects but with new friendships made over the 3 days of creating, and I think that is what it's all about these days.......A huge thank you to Cindy for providing the Paper Crown so we are able to do these kinds of weekends. Thank You Heather Ales for coming allllllllll the way from Dallas/Ft.Worth to help Terri out with all kinds of behind the scene going ons...And if you have been around the PC you know Heather is no stranger! We love having you around and appreciate you helping out.
This post is going to be long so I may do it in 3 days.....we will see!
Friday was the leather/soldered bracelet!
The first thing we did was pick out the leather strips from old leather belts.......cut them to your wrist size and then add the snap.......we then pounded the copper heart into the molds to make the metal heart, cut those out and stamped/patina/rubbed on some color/then added some lace and started to sew on whatever you wanted to make it special.
In our kits we had enough copper to make small ones so we could make 2 bracelets. The second one had a velvet strip....a little more dainty than the leather one. I am sorry I didn't get more photos of the bracelets, they were all fun and all different!
This last one is the one I made and I will have photos later of the other one ( I didn't get to finish)
hard at work
Miss Amy took care of the front of the store on Friday so Cindy Lou was able to take the class......thanks Amy!
I don't have a clue why she is backed away from her table in the middle of the floor, only Lisa................
And our friend Beth stopped in for a few minutes ........Beth had signed up for all 3 classes but because of health issues wasn't able to come so she just stopped in to at least say hi to Terri.........we sure did miss you Beth but next time......get well soon!
I think that is all......I know Cindy took photos and hopefully more of the bracelets so check out the Paper Crown blog. Thank you to all those gals who traveled from Georgia, Kansas, Texas and all over the state of Oklahoma........this really says something about how much we love Terri and the Paper Crown......There are so few stores like the Paper Crown and every time we have a special guest they always tell us how lucky we are to have this kind of a store close......and we all always agree!
Hope you all have a great monday and I will have day 2 tomorrow!
On another note we have a class this thursday Feb 2.........Valentine Tray-5:30-9:00 We still have a couple spots left for this one .....you will need to provide your own frame. Call the store if you are interested and for details 405-848-2389.
Saturday Feb. 4 Valentine paper doll tag class (this is the rescheduled class from the ice/snow storm a few weeks ago).......We have several spots left if you are interested. If you do decided to come you will need an apron because we are going to be doing a lot of messy painting.......
sorry about the length of this post but mondays are sometimes just that way........check back tomorrow for more weekend photos with Terri Brush!
