love these........ideas.........

I just love these metal window/doors.......all these photos are taken off " My Sweet Savannah's" blog post about metal......If I was building a new home I would love to incorporate these some way some how..........they give a house a real inviting indoor/outdoor look and one that would let in so much light.  Not real private but you would really need to be sure and use them in the right way....and since I am not a drape fan these would work perfect for me................here are a few more below..

Love the look...............I am getting ready to do some remodeling and just getting ideas...........I need to do an overhaul in the master bathroom first and then from there work on the rest of the house..........It's a little overwhelming but I just need to do it.  I will hopefully post photos as I go along.  I won't start until probably summer so I have a few months to get my act together and then I will let you know!

friday highlights........

Well here it is another group photo and not everyone has a smile and eyes open or even can see faces but this is the best one out of 4 taken......sorry girls!  It's impossible #1 to get everyone to cooperate , #2 where everyone is smiling, # 3 so I just pick the one I think will be ok and apologize to those that I need to......But other  than the photo these girls all went home with 2 gorgeous paper mache hearts......They painted, decoupaged, glued, added feathers, velvet, glittered and added all kinds of ribbon and doo dads!  They did an amazing job and hopefully will find a special place or give to a special one!  Thanks girls for another fun class.....we had several who we have not seen in a while so it was great to have you all back!

 

Thanks to Peggy for the new banner added to the front counter.........just in time for V Day!  You will have to stop by to see these in person.....they are scraps of paper sewed onto big sheets of cardstock........this woman is a paper cutting machine!  She does these for fun and I hear she has literally stacks of them!  So she is sharing these with the Paper Crown.....

 

And one last item ..............you won't want to miss the HUGE sale this weekend at the Paper Crown.........Today 10-5------tomorrow 10-4-------sunday 1-3:30.....the back room is full of all sorts of products and paper........the paper racks are full of 10 cent paper and on the tables 99 cents and 3.99 ..........you won't want to miss it.......plus as she sells out more will be replaced all weekend long...so if you go today there will be different tomorrow and sunday.......so stop by all three days!!!!!  And if you stop by you will be able to see Peggy's art work and drop off your V DAY swap envelopes!!!!

hearts hearts and more hearts..........

Many of you know by now how much we all love the beautiful velvet Cindy has at the Paper Crown..........it's soft, easy to work with, beautiful colors and so versatile!  I can't help myself from throwing away even the scraps.......so I found out a way to use up all those wonderful scraps......first I got an old file folder used my sewing machine with the zig zag stitch attachments and just started laying out the scraps of velvet and went to town......after I had enough on the file folder I turned it over and traced out my heart and cut the hearts out....turned it over and these little scrapy velvet hearts appeared........I backed them with some silver paper and cut with my scalloped scissors around each heart!  You could use them for a variety of things ..........I happened to use mine for tonights Valentine's class name tags!  If you remember several years back I sorta did the same thing with scrap ribbon, photo below.....Don't ever throw out your scraps..........you never know you may use them for something someday!!!!!

2 new classes...........

 

Flip Frame Class- February 16 5:30-9:00............In this class we will be using the Tim Holtz flip frame.  Even though Valentine's Day will be over we will make the V-Day insert along with the Easter and St. Patricks Day.  You will be responsible for purchasing the flip frame.  They should be in any time and I will let you know on my blog or on the Paper Crown blog.  You will receive your classroom discount at the time of the purchase of your frame.......hope to see you all.

Easter Parade Paper Dolls- March 15 5:30-9:00.....

You will be making these 3 Easter Paper Dolls.............we all have fun playing paper dolls!

 

For those of you who have signed up for this weeks Paper Mache heart class you will need to bring your basic class kit along with your glue gun and heat gun........you may want to bring an apron because we will be using modge podge and paint.........if you have any kind of Valentine doo dads to add bring those........I will have everything you see on the hearts but I know some of you like to bring extra..........We still may have a couple spots left if you are interested.....below is what we will be making....405-848-2389 You will go home with 2 beautiful hearts!  See you all thursday evening at 5:30!
