Thursday Feb 4 we have a couple spots left in this class........come and have fun with paint, mod podge, lace, ribbon, shrink plastic and all sorts of doo dads! What better way to give that special someone a fun, cute valentine they will be able to set out year after year......better than a box of chocolates that don't last and no calories! call the store 405-848-2389.

We don't have a date yet for this class because we are waiting for the flip frames to arrive........as soon as they do we will let you know. This class will be an ongoing class........depending on how involved each one will take, more than likely we can make 2 or 3 in one class. You will be responsible for buying your own flip frame ( Cindy will give you the class discount when you purchase them). The first class we will be doing the Valentine Flip, Easter Flip and the St. Patty's Day! The second class will be Mother's Day and Father's Day and maybe fit in something summer. Then for the third one will be Fourth of July and Back to School. Fourth one will be Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. I might even try to come up with a few other special days, we will see....... they will be a fun addition to your desk, studio, kitchen or somewhere in your home or office that needs a little added spark! Cindy and I will post on this blog or the Paper Crown blog to let you know when they arrive and when the date of the first class.........
Happy Tuesday all........the sun is out and it's a beautiful 46 degrees today in OKC!!!!! Love it and to know we have several days in a row of sunshine and warmer temps.........
Well we had a great time last night creating these sweet Valentine Paper Dolls......these girls each went home with 3 completed dolls. My first class for 2016 and we had a full house. And I don't know how Lisa got away without a photo and I apologize........Sorry! Next time Lisa......I think we missed one other photo but sometimes I just get all caught up in cleaning up and I do miss some once in a while, so I do apologize and don't ever want to leave anyone out.........
Next class is February 4 and we will continue with our Valentine theme......

Pink, red, glitter, raspberry cake and a whole lot of paper doll making tonight at the Paper Crown........see you girls tonight!
Yesterday I was going through my paper stash and decided to make these heart picks.........super easy and if you have a stash of paper like me the designs are endless. I first cut out some random hearts out of book board, covered those with some background paper and then decided what papers and color I wanted to go with. I also added a smaller wooden heart and painted it and glued it onto the heart above. Then with small scissors I cut out different flower designs and started placing them on the hearts. The first heart above I did a 3-D look.....just experiment with your different papers and placements..........I then added a little gold ink and gold leaf to add that special touch. You can also attach some ribbon around the edge of the heart....a little note attached to the stick is always fun and a wonderful way to add sentiment to the one you will be giving this tooooooo...........these will be given away in thursday evening class as door prizes.........

Hopefully you all have been working on your Love Letter Swap..........Cindy has the envelopes and you can pick those up anytime........the due date to turn them in is February 6 and pick up your swap on February 9.......so get out all of your paints, pens, glue, scissors and get to work!

Heart Class..........February 4 we will be making 2 hearts that will be covered in cheese cloth and paint with added bits and pieces of velvet, rhinestones, wire ribbon and a little shrink......these will make great gifts to give on that special Valentine's Day.
February 25 Vintage Pink Girl Talk Journal...........

With all the planners, calendars and documented dailies craze I hope you all are doing a better job than I am........at first I didn't know what planner/calendar I would work from to keep my important dates like birthdays, appointments, class schedule etc. in, but when Cindy got the Heidi Swapp planner/calendars in before Christmas I thought I would give it a whirl, and I really do like it. I had pre ordered the Documented Faith from Stephanie Ackerman to keep the daily journaling......I just hope I can keep them fun and interesting and look back a year from now to see what all had inspired in 2016...........
