I guess you can say I have a little spring fever.......my front pots have been empty since Christmas and I thought it was a little more inviting and add a little Easter! I decided to Gold Leaf some eggs so I went and bought several different sizes, painted them black and then went to town....below is what I used to make these little golden eggs.
You can buy these three products at your local Hobby Lobby. It took the entire package of gold leaf to do 6 eggs......2 large eggs, 2 medium and two small! After you have sprayed your eggs black and they have dried you then spray the adhesive ( be sure to spray outside and don't get this adhesive on surface because it is extremely sticky) then very carefully place the gold leafing and smooth out.....the directions are on the package! Then I decided they needed to be sealed since they would be outside in the weather...........super easy, fast and it makes a mess but I love the way they turned out and I needed to add a little pazazzzzzzzzzz to my front entrance......
To help out a little I made small holes in each egg and ran a wooden skewer in and then punctured some holes in a box to keep them upright and easier to spray........
Added a little green and a lavender bow and there you have it!!!!
Hope your enjoying your weekend.........Happy Spring!
Welcome Spring!
