Let me just say this first off.......when we got the okay to have our Annual Paper Crown Glitter Market we were not sure which store in the square would be available........when Cindy found out she was a little worried because this vacancy use to be a childrens store........so you can imagine when she walked in and saw bright hot pink, bright purple and bright turquoise she was a little worried.........fast forward a few days and with Cindy's creative mind she turned this bright room into a magic Mackenzie Childs looking Christmas wonderland!
these huge beautiful brightly colored ornaments hanging from the ceiling with white snowflakes.........Cindy did an amazing job!
And our dedicated/devoted customers started lining up in the 27 degree weather..........I think they started around 8:30..........burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! And they all had smiles on their faces!
And I can't say enough about our wonderful vendors..........
Our newest vendor is the most talented/ sweetest/ youngest and pregnant with her second child(a boy this time) Heather Sleyhtholm! She is quite the artist and many of you know her and have followed her for quite sometime and we feel fortunate to have her join our Paper Crown team. Thank You Heather for making Paper Crown one of your only shows this year! You can check out her website: wwwaudreyelectric.com!
Bobbie teaches classes at the Paper Crown and has the most adorable creations. The sweetest little gal and the sweetest husband who is always by her side helping out whenever needed! Thank You once again for helping making Glitter Market so much fun!
Medeah and Peggy- Medeah is another one of our Paper Crown teachers/instructors! She has quite a following with her magic on canvas. Medeahs side kick Peggy joined her this year and let me just say she really got with the program and turned out all these wonderful Christmas pilllows and tea towels.
Nicolle has also taught her wondeful classes at the Paper Crown. Her leather journals are so incredibly beautiful and she is so talented in everything she creates!
Robin, need I say anything except looking at this photo sums up how much fun she is! And not only fun but oh so talented.............Robin is the knitting queen of all times and her handmade fabric/paper journals are pieces of true works of art!
Charlotte Perez is a one of a kind gal and we all love Charlotte! She comes all the way from Dallas to bring her exquiste jewelry! This gal has it going on! I think anyone who has ever bought one piece of her jewelry over the years probably by now has several drapped around their necks or wrists! Her smile and of course her signature red lips keeps us all in stitches the entire time! And she braved the awful roads to make it up this way on friday.
Susan and Janet- This was Janet's first time and she replaced Jill ( Jill had other obligations OSU football, need I say more) These two are quite the bakers extrodinaire! Wonderful baked goods like praline cookies, pies, caramels, two kinds of popcorn, bars and sugar cookies to die for! We all ate really well yesterday......
TALENT TALENT TALENT all over the purple, pink and turquoise room yesterday! Thank You to all who braved this bitter cold weather. I hope you all enjoyed the day as much as we did getting ready for it and to share our creations with you and hopefully made your christmas lists a little shorter!
And I am so bummed because my helper this year was Miss Kay ( the one on the left with the baseball hat , photo was taken this summer) I did not get a photo of the two of us and I am so disappointed.........we get so busy with the booth/talking/eating and you just get caught up in the fun and forget to take photos..........if anyone took one of my helper please email it to me. Thanks! And thank you Kay for all your help. I could not of done it without her and she knows it......and this was also the first time for Kay!
Many Many thanks to Cindy for all the hours of work to get ready for this event every year. So much goes into planning and making sure we all have chairs, tables, flyers, decorations, a place to have it....... a delicious lunch and breakfast for all the vendors....... not to mention the spread of goodies for all the shoppers....... hot chocolate, hot cider and coffee to warm everyone up while they shopped. Cindy has a heart of gold to even put this event on. And those of you that know her she is always behind the scene... I just want to say for myself and I know along with all of you Thank You Cindy for giving us Glitter Market!
For those vendors who could not make it this year we missed all of you and hopefully next year you can join us once again!
I will show you a few photos of my table tomorrow but for now I am going to go curl up in front of the fireplace and relax. I have a big pot of beans and cornbread on for my husband and we are just going to be lazy this afternoon.........happy lazy sunday afternoon!
