A little doll suitcase around 55 years old was sitting in my moms garage...........she could not remember if it was my older sisters or mine........ inside was something Grandmas just don't do anymore.....Like my mom, my grandmother was a wonderful seamstress......she made all the clothes inside.........not only did she make these doll clothes but made doll clothes for my 2 sisters and probably 6 other grandaughters............can you believe it!

and last but not least every doll needs a handmade bathing suit............wow!

My grandmother used to not only make us doll clothes, but also clothes for all us grandkids too!

Yes, my Grandmother, my Mother, my Aunt, and then I (very simply with outside blanket-stitch) made doll clothes for my dolls! I then made them for my daughter and I keep hoping that I might have a granddaughter to keep the chain going!
My doll trunk was white with white with red-star wallpaper inside for my Ginny and Muffy dolls!
What kind of doll was in your trunk, Jackie?

Jackie, I also have a little grey suitcase with doll clothes made by my Aunt. It is a treasure to me.
