happy friday..............

Many of you know by now summer is my most favorite time of the year............I love all the summer events and holidays..............July 4th is one of those..........I love to honor the day by showing a little patriotism by displaying a few items around my home.......of course these little patriotic gals are on top of a spool made out of paper and a few little firecrackers made out of straws and a flag from the dollar store I coffee dyed.........then a few extra spool........

These spools are so easy to make and so fun to display.........save all those pringle cans, oatmeal containers, anything round/cylinder.......wrap with paper, make two circles out of sturdy book board a little larger than the circle of the cylinder you are using..........glue paper on the two circles and glue one of the bottom of the base and one on top......then the sky is the limit to what you can create!

I am making about 40 4th of July spool dolls for a women's group at my church and then we are headed to St. Louis to watch the fireworks over the arch. Haven't done that before but I love everything about the 4th of July and thought that sounded like fun. I hope you are feeling great and that I will see you in a class soon. I always enjoy your classes an learn so much. By the way, our 47th anniversary is Sunday and I am giving Dan a journal with lots of "Jackie" inspired parts.
