Red Velvet Brownies
1 cup unsalted butter, room temp.
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
4 large eggs room temp
1 oz. red food color
4 tsp. vanilla paste
2 1/2 cups flour
6 tbsp. cocoa powder
1 tsp. baking powder
350 in buttered and floured 9x13 glass pyrex
Beat butter and sugars together until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time mixing well after each, add food coloring and vanilla. Mix in slowly the dry ingredients..DO NOT OVERMIX, this batter is really thick.
Pour into prepared ban and bake for at least 35 minutes.....this all depends on your oven and how gooey you like your brownies. Cool and frost.
Frosting
1 cube softened unsalted butter
1 package 8oz. room temp cream cheese
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla paste
Beat cream cheese and butter and slowly add the sugar and vanilla. Spread on cooled brownies!
Peanut Butter Bundles
1 cup sugar
1 cup Karo syrup
1 cup peanut butter
6 cups corn flakes
Heat sugar and syrup in large pot..........do not boil!
Remove and add the peanut butter and mix well...add corn flakes and make sure you mix to incorporate into this mixture......drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper.
this would be great to make for those super bowl parties and get togethers.......super easy and fast
This really isn't baking but if you have some of those christmas candy canes leftover from christmas you may want to make some of these sweet little V day goodies.......even on a stick.....
Wrap them up in a clear bag and add a sweet little card and ribbon and you have a sweet little treat!
