The last several weeks have kinda been a blur( kinda like the expression on this little boys face).........from 2 showers and 2 weddings, Dallas Market, classes,3 baby showers, birthday and birthday surprises and all the inbetweens....... I am so ready to be home for a while........I am such a home body and would be perfectly happy just to stay in my " ROOM" and create all day and all night if I could. That is really not reality but that is how I wish it could be......So starting today I need to get back in the swing of things and start creating once again, and I am ready.
I hope to get some projects started and finished, and start gearing for some Fall classes. I have a few things in mind but it will be a while before I can show you and start to schedule them. Probably in August sometime. I will let you all know well in advance.
Below is a photo of some little treasures my mom handed me the other day in a little jewelry box. They are the cutest little plastic charms. If anyone out there knows what they are or what they were used for please let me know. One set is on a chain for a necklace, and the others are just loose. They are so detailed with fine lines. You can see how small they are up against the coins.
You never know these will probably end up in some mixed media projects for Glitter Market in Nov.
That is all I have today.......I do want to say again to all of you who sent me Birthday greeting and wishes, Thank You! I received some of the sweetest texts, emails, cards and comments from all of you! It sure made turning 60 easier! I'm still not sure I like the sound of sixty! Oh well I better put my big girl panties on and deal with it.................
make it a great wednesday..............106 here in OKC! I love it!

I have been away for a few days! Every June I head to Dallas for Market! We always have a great time but it is hard work, if you can believe it! We walk and walk and walk and walk more, and we try to order merchandise that we think might sell.........its always a gamble no matter what, the new trends, what's in what's out.........and this year in several places it was all about VINTAGE! New sections of the market were geared towards old, rusty, lacey and worn out! (like me)
I am home now and I need to get down to making these little cuties! Before I left I cut out 25 pair of these sweet little baby booties. They are made out of felted wool..... I only got a few pair finished before I left......... I am going a little different direction this time and adding different little pieces of lace and ribbons. I will still have the cute ones with the flowers, hearts and polka dots like the photos below from before....
I hope this finds you having a wonderful summer weekend.......
Remember you have until tomorrow evening to leave me a comment on the birthday giveaway!

Just look around and you will be amazed......have a beautiful turquoise tuesday!

Now for a few wedding photos........
The wedding took place in the groom's parents backyard with the water in the background! It was a beautiful summer evening in Oklahoma!
The bride loves everything Vintage........so here we go!
Here she is looking beautiful wearing her mother's wedding dress! She looked gorgeous.....
walking barefoot down the daisy lined pathway.............
The groom waiting for his bride along side are his 5 brothers and the father( the Best man) of all these boys! What a group of handsome young men and they are some of the sweetest boys you will ever meet!
And this is the mother of these 6 boys! Let me tell you this woman can plan a wedding in 5 weeks with no problem! She is a PRO! It was absolutely perfect!
After the ceremony we all headed to the reception across the water on the bridge........
the guestbook welcomed the guests.....
this is looking at the reception from where the wedding took place.......
lanterns were the centerpieces with fresh flowers scattered around.......
Sweet baby Mac was the ring bearer..........
He held a 100 year old family bible that belonged to the groom's side of the family, for the ring/pillow bible.......
How sweet is this.......at just 2 years old he walked down the isle perfectly!
remember the first photo of the boat........well the bride and groom arrived later to the reception in this flower covered boat.
It truly was a beautiful evening and beautiful wedding...... much happiness to the Bride and Groom!
Thank You for letting me help be a part of your family's wedding! We had fun.........just think you have 5 more to go! And this woman can do it...............!

Remember the centerpiece chair I used last week for the wedding shower.........found a perfect spot for it along with this rusty ole chair..........I have always loved using chairs to decorate with!
(photo below is the same chair but with the flowers in the broken down cain seat)
Once I used this old baby high chair on my kitchen counter for a baby shower...........
Small doll chair that holds a doll on the table of one of my classes.........
And then there is this wonderful chair my friend Charlotte Perez uses to display her jewelry! It is absolutely the best display I have ever seen, but what do you expect when you are dealing with one of the most talented ladies ever! ( the first photo is in Dallas at the Gilded event, the second photo is Glitter Market 2011)
and then there is this wonderful chair I found a couple weeks ago.........
I don't know why I decided to share these but I just love chairs and what you can do with them! Think of them for another purpose besides sitting in!
Happy thursday...........busy busy!
Don't forget to leave a comment for the birthday giveaway! You still have until friday evening 12:00. The winner will be announced saturday morning!
