July 26 I will be teaching another class and it has to do with Man's best Friend...........I'm just going to tell you that much!  It will be the same way I did the Mystery Class a couple years ago.  If you were in that class you will probably enjoy this one.  I hope to have the sample at the store this week but I have not decided how to display it yet, because it needs to be a secret inside! transfer glove class..............

We missed Beth, Becky and Sharon who weren't able to join us for health reasons.........get well girls!

  These gals all did an amazing job on their gloves!

 

The Pioneer Woman Coffee Cake was our refreshment for the evening.  The recipe is in her new cookbook!  If you are a coffee lover you will LOVE this cake.

Mother's Day Class...........

For you girls taking the Transfer glove class this thursday evening this is what you need to bring:

corner rounder

crop a dial

scissors

glue stick

pair of leather gloves

any buttons, lace or embelishments you would like to add

4-6 small photos 1 1/2-2" that have been laser print ( Not INK JET) and depending on the size of your glove you need to decide if you want just 1 photo on the front or 2 small ones like I used!

Before Colette knew she was coming to Oklahoma I had purchased a few pieces of her hand work from her Etsy shop!  When she decided to come I asked her  just to bring them instead of sending them in the mail.  Was I ever surprised at how  beautiful they were in person than the photos.  They have pieces of old lace, an old collar, the front of an old dress, photos, ribbon, vintage fabric and buttons.  I now have to decide on how to display and hang them and when I do I will take a photo!

........are these not wonderful!

And then she handed me this sweet little card with a heart made out of paper mache, wire and of course her signature color RED tied it all together!  She is the master of her craft and I am thrilled with my stash of Colette art!

whew......................big weekend at the PC...........

This past weekend at the Paper Crown we were honored to host one of the most talented " little French Canadian" artist, Colette Copeland!  We had so much fun from the time we picked her up at the airport on thursday evening until the end of her last class on saturday late afternoon. These photos will show the wonderful time we all experienced!

Colette came to teach 4 different classes and she also set up a couple of tables with her wonderful art to sale.........I think we wiped her out.  She did not have much to take back but  promised  to come back in the fall and join us for Glitter Market!

Robin's sweet daughter Ally joined us for the morning class........she is a doll! Colette & Ally talked back and forth in French. Ally just got back from France on a school exchange program.  Thanks Ally for stopping by and joining us older women for lunch!

Beth I am so sorry but I did not get a photo of you and your house. We gave you such a bad time, and not to get a photo of your sewing skills...........

The photos above were the morning class.  We then had a break and returned for the afternnon class, Birdies on paper..............

Cindy even got to join us for the afternoon class.

Saturday classes were the same except the bird class in the afternoon was fabric......

These girls were having entirely to much fun..........but what a way to end a perfectly wonderful weekend with a very talented artist!  Thank You Colette for the fun memories and sharing your talent with us OKIES........come back soon!
