BEAUTIFUL.....................

Before I continue this post........... some of you know this past weekend Cindy ( owner of the Paper Crown) was married to her college sweetheart!  Let me just say this it was one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever attended.....and I have been to MANY weddings.  The surroundings, the story of the bride and groom, the minister that married them the entire event was so genuine and SO Cindy!  The bride and groom met at Baylor 29 years ago...............the wedding was in the  Armstrong Browning Library on the Baylor campus..........this building is BEAUTIFUL inside as you can tell by the photos!

the music was BEAUTIFUL.......

In memory of the bride and grooms parents Cindy had a small locket with photos of them on their wedding day!!!!! Another BEAUTIFUL touch.......

The reception was held on this local historic Waco Suspension Bridge........

it was a little windy but by the time evening fell the wind calmed down and it was a beautiful evening..

This weekend I have the privilege to attend Miss Cindy and Austins wedding..........  Special thoughts go out to them as they journey on this adventure together with their children.............I hope to have plenty of photos next week so you can enjoy seeing this joyous time in their lives!

Next weekend will be special at the Paper Crown! We have a special teacher coming all the way from Canada to teach 2 classes on Friday May 4th and 2 more on saturday May 5.  This "Special Artist Teacher" is none other than Colette Copeland. If you have ever picked up a Somerset Magazine you have probably seen some of Colette's art work.  She has been featured many many times and we feel so privleged to have her come and teach.  You all are in for a real treat who have already signed up and if you have not we have a few more spots left.  You don't want to be one of those who after the weekend and don't sign up, then you hear all about these classes and wish you would of signed up...........if you go to the Paper Crown blog on my side bar you can see the photos and information on these classes.  I do know that some of the supplies Colette will be using in these classes are from France.........who wouldn't want to use supplies and materials from France.  Call the store 848-2389!  Do not call the store tomorrow thursday April 26  or friday April 27 because the store will be closed due to the new air conditioner being installed..............yeah, just in time for the warm weather!  Saturday is back to regular hours.........

My peony plant gives the most gorgeous fushia flowers..........love it!  One of my favorites in my yard!

I love this time of year before the heat gets to the plants.........Maybe this year it won't be as hot and they will survive!

Well that is what I have been up to the last couple days..........playing with all kinds of left over lace, fabric, ribbon, paper, buttons, photo transfer on fabric of little girls and gloves.........I guess I am on a glove roll!  I still have a few more projects with gloves coming up...........!  You will just have to wait and see........

Last night's class was small but full of creativity!  These girls went to town on their gloves.  Great Job!

I guess that is all I have on this spring friday morning!  Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

 I guess I've gone a little crazy making these little wooden dolls...........I had the wood cut and the drill still out so I thought I would finish those and pack them away........Glitter Market in November!  This isn't the end of me making these though, I hope to get back to them later......... but for now I need to work on getting my classes ready for May and June!

tin type transfer class.................

This thursday evening April 19 my class has a few extra openings.  We will be making this cute dress wall hanging made with a leather glove. You will be learning a new transfer technique that looks like old fashion tin type.  (You will need to provide your own leather glove.)   The class starts at 5:30-9:00.  You can call the store 405-787-2418.
