You all know by now how much I love paper dolls...........and the Queen of Paper Dolls made the trip all the way from Peachtree City Georgia to the Paper Crown this week!
these are some photos of our class on thursday evening........
they are all working so quietly..........ha ha.......we all know better!
Catherine and traveling buddy Lana coloring those sweet paper dolls.........
Those are the finished paper dolls.........I am sorry I did not get Lana and Catherine's finished dolls....it was quite a night and I thought I had taken plenty of photos .......did not take any of Catherine and Cindy, and I am so sorry............Cindy left the next morning for Texas but Catherine and Lana said they will come back!
We had a full class with just a couple of the girls missing..........and Beth left for the Thunder game!
A fun night we will all remember.................
Lana and Catherine having a little fun with Girdie!
Friday Morning I picked up Catherine and Lana at the store and we took off for an Oklahoma City tour! First stop was Starbucks! Lana made sure she toured Oklahoma City with a cup of Starbucks in hand! We headed downtown to the Oklahoma City Memorial.........they both were in awe of the sight! We left the memorial bombing sight and headed to bricktown to show off our Canal, Cheseapeake Arena, Mickey Mantle stadium, our new scissor tail expressway, and a few other sights before heading to Classen Curve to have lunch with My Heart's Fancy favorite teacher Lisa Bruno! And since we were so close to the Republic for lunch we had to stop by our new Anthropologie.
After having a wonderful lunch and meeting up with Lisa we headed to Edmond to show Catherine and Lana My Heart's Fancy and meeting some of the Edmond girls!
Catherine, Lisa, Maura ( owner of My Heart's Fancy) and Lana!
Catherine standing in front of the wall stocked full of Character Construction stamps! They don't last long so stop by the Paper Crown soon!
Well what more can I say! We all had a wonderful time with these two! I just want to say a BIG Thank You to Catherine and Lana for making this one class I ( and all the girls in class) will always remember!
We sure hope you come back to Oklahoma and stay a little longer!
Saying Good Bye to Girdie.................good bye Catherine and come back soon!

Girdie and Catherine Moore!!!!!! Can you believe it!
Well we had a big surprise last night at the Paper Crown................Catherine Moore came to take one of our classes! Can you believe that! In our world (stamping and paper art) it doesn't get any better than that! Let me just say we felt honored to have her come! When she called me this week to let me know she was coming, she said it will just be fun to take a class and not teach, and to take a class that was using her stamps! So that is exactly what she did!
Along with Catherine her sweet friend Lana Kloch from California flew in to join her and take the class. We all had a great time! We laughed, colored paper dolls, cut out paper dolls, assembled paper dolls, added embellishments to these fancy paper dolls, had a tea party, ate cupcakes and cookies and I think we wore the two of them out! I know it was a long day for the two of them, Catherine flying in from Georgia and Lana from California but they put up with us and were good sports!
I know all the girls felt as honored as I did and we all say Thank You Catherine and Lana for making our class special last night!
I will have more photos tomorrow to share with you about the class and my day with Catherine and Lana!
Check in tomorrow................

and eating some Chocolate Strawberry Cupcakes.................(This last photo was before I put on the finishing white/pink chocolate drizzles..........)
Enjoy your Thursday!

It would not be President's Day without a cherry pie! At least around here in February I always like to bake at least one cherry pie in february..............don't know why I just do!
Make your double crust favorite recipe add a large can of cherry pie filling, bake and you have this wonderful flakey pie..........if you know me I love any kind of fruit pie! Whether it be fresh fruit or canned fruit in the middle of winter, I LOVE them all...except strawberries! I do NOT LIKE them! But I will eat any other kind of berries!
Wishing you all a wonderful middle of the month week............

I am up to my eyeballs in Paper Dolls this week! Next week is our first class for the new line of " The Beekeeper's Tea from Catherine Moore's stamps. We will be making two dolls from her new line.
Those of you taking this class you will need to bring your basic kit, small pair of scissors, UHU glue stick and colored pencils. If you want to use your copic markers to color that is perfectly okay. I have always used colored pencils on my paper dolls but I wanted to experiment with copic markers and I like the way they turned out. But pencils are still my favorite choice. Please be on time! This class is full to the brim and if you are there at 5:30 it gives us all enough time to go home with 2 completed dolls! See you gals next thursday Feb. 23!
If your wondering about the BIG doll head and tea pot ............come by the store over the weekend and take a peek at GIrdie!

You can tell this year I went a little overboard with decorated cookies. I have been wanting to experiment..........and I DID! And what else do you do on a cold wintery snowy day like yesterday......
And I finished my little heart pillows.......
And this little cutie came in the mail yesterday from my dear friend Catherine Moore of Character Construction............isn't she sweet and the newest line of stamps! You haven't seen the last of this stamp.........I will be redressing" Girdie" and this stamp will be used!
Well I guess that is all I have for this year on Valentine's Day.
Hope you all have a LOVELY Day and evening with your loved ones. Make it SWEET!
