Well that is it for now! Instead of Christmas shopping after Thanksgiving I stayed home and decorated! I am not a big shopper and especially the day after Thanksgiving like all you crazy people out there! Hope you are enjoying this holiday weekend whatever it might be........I may have some more photos when I finish up but that is it for today!

Last saturday a few of us were just standing around talking and admiring Miss Robin's bracelet she had made.................
I think she said it took her over 50 hours to make..........I believe it! It is absolutely beautiful and the colors are to die for! I told her that one of these days I would come across my Camp Fire girl things and show her my headband we had to make out of seed beads...........well not knowing how soon after we had talked about it. Today when I was looking for some Christmas decorations I came across all my Camp Fire Girls goodies. Just thought I would show you and it is a far cry from her beautiful bracelet to my headband made many many years ago.
the lighting is horrible in these pictures....sorry
You can see my little vest with the symbols tacked onto the back, the little scarf we wore, our book or manual, can you see the little box......it was made out of an old milk carton from school and it has been taped up all these years . I carefully tried to get it open and there are beads I earned. There is a spool of thread still in there to sew them on.
What are the chances I would run across this so soon after we had this conversation last weekend!
Well here's to the day after Thanksgiving........... I am home trying to put out some Christmas.....what about you?

Is this not the most adorable display you have ever seen. Charlotte Perez is a genius when it comes to displaying her fine jewelry.........take a look at the bracelet display below.......
This urn would turn all the way around because it had the high tech lazy susan under a piece of slate....I came home with one of these beauties.......
The night before setting up her booth. This lady just has the natural talent! We were so happy she decided to join the Okies and share her talents with all of us. I know many of you out there have some treasure around your neck or wrist from this woman!
Robin's wonderful knits...........warm and cozy just like Robin!
Those early morning gals with coffee and donuts...........you all are the best!
We had the best spot to have this event in. The biggest we have ever had. Everyone was spread out and the crowd could move around. I was lucky enough to have the check out stand and two tables. I do have a few items left and will post next week on how you may purchase some of them!
Wishing you all a Happy tuesday............can you believe we only have 2 days until Thanksgiving.......

The Queen Bee of sewing is Miss Jemellia.........her talents are unbelievable and she is the mother of this sweetie below.................

Lezlie was a first time Glitter Market vendor. She makes clocks made from old tea pots and silver trays!
Nicolle needs no introduction. She is one of our talented teachers and decided to join us this year and have her own booth. Her paper art is so creative and we love having her.
Donna Layton needs no introduction. She has taught classes at the Paper Crown for years. Donna is the Glitter, Wallpaper, Copic Marker and Pipe Cleaner expert. I first met this gal at the our first Paper Crown Glitter market.
Ann Denise and her crew from Texas. Not only did she have a booth, she taught a class while GM was going on. She brought reinforcement, her husband and daughter. Thanks Ann Denise. Her Crepe paper art is awesome.
Jill and Susan! These two sold out of their bakery goodies before 11:00. If you love homemade caramels, caramel corn, delicious sugar cookies, brownies, pumpkin bread or anything delicious these two have the right ingredients to create Bakery goodness.
Another talented gal from Dallas is Miss Charlotte Perez! Let me tell you this is one of the most talented and creative gals I have ever met! She makes the most beautiful vintage jewelry.......Her laugh and smile is contagious and we okies love her.
And then we have the KNITTING Queen Miss Robin! This gal can knit like nobody I have ever met. Not only can see knit she can make us all laugh until we cry! She is a wonderful seamstress, makes beautiful jewelry and journals that are beautiful.
ANd this is the Paper Crown Glitter Market Queen. There would not be a Glitter Market if it wasn't for this sweet gal. Cindy makes it possible for us all to come together for a day of smiles, christmas shopping, great food, and just great fun with friends. Thank You Cindy for making this possible for all of the vendors and customers who came out to enjoy this yearly event.
I will have a few more posts about this event in the next couple of days. I just wanted to show you how happy everyone was with SMILES on their faces.

If you ever need a fast, easy and DELICIOUS salad recipe this one is for you:
red and yellow small heirloom tomatoes cut in half
1 carton mozzarella pearls or the ones that are a little bigger cut in half
1 bunch fresh basil
ground pepper to taste
olive oil
Mix and you've got the most wonderful salad. My all time favorite
(I only had yellow tomatoes yesterday but usually I use both red and yellow)
I thought you all are probably tired of me talking about GM so I thought I would throw you off with a recipe!
Thursday is a good day!

Okay everyone you are going to be so excited that we got the bigger of the two stores to have our GM in! Cindy and I toured the space today and we have soooooooooo much more room than last year, so we can all spread out for everyone to be comfortable! I know it gets a little crazy the first two hours so maybe with the larger space we can all stand around the vendors tables and have plenty of elbow room for everyone to look at all the goodies!
Thanks everyone for always being so supportive of The Paper Crown and Glitter Market. Can you believe this is the 3 year we have had a Glitter Market...It has grown from the back of the store with just a handful of vendors to many many more talented artists. Cindy has really made this something that we all look forward to. If you think about it on saturday just let Cindy know how much you appreciate her and the store! ( she is going to kill me for saying this)
So everyone we will see you bright and early on saturday morning.........

Today when I was finishing up a few things for GM I had again a pile of ribbon scraps! I know I have shared this before, but for those of you who are new to my blog this is what I came up with several years ago. First I did this for Valentine's Day with a heart. Then I thought why not do it with a tree for Christmas. Here is how to do this easy little tag:
Then start to feed your scraps on the line and start to stitch.
It is really that easy! Then you can embellish any way you want. Have fun.
LAST TIME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This will be the last time I make cookbooks! They are extremely time consuming and I am retiring from cookbooks...........put that in your Big Chief Tablet!
Happy Tuesday!
