On Saturday the first project we made was this sweet little bird box. This was the instructors because mine is not finished yet. I will post a picture when mind is finished. Anyway we all had fun making this cute project and let me tell you the glitter was flying all over that place. Our instructor for this was class was the sweet and talented Lesa Daily.
She had her hands full and the patience to keep this group of gals under control.
And her darling assistant was Melissa. I think she has the prettiest brown eyes and skin......don't you agree?
Thanks Lesa and Melissa for taking out the time to teach this wonderful class. I know how much time it takes to get things ready for classes and this one was one of those.
The class project on Sunday was this beautiful bracelet watch that Shea taught! We learned how to make our own chain out of wire. Some of the jewels that we added are ones that we brought. She told us that we could add what we wanted, but for the most part the crystal beads, pearls were all in the kits. We all finished but it did take up the full day on Sunday.............
Over the weekend you had the same table mates the entire time. I want you to meet Emily! She put up with the 5 of us. I know she probably thought we were all crazy most of the time but we enjoyed having her sit with all of the Oklahoma City girls. She was quiet and so sweet. She is also very talented. She makes jewelry and has been in some of the Somerset Studio Jewelry magazines. In fact she gave each one of us at our table a piece of her jewelry!
They are made out of clay and then baked. They are so much more detailed and lovely in person. Sorry this picture does not show the beautiful details. Anyway I wanted you to all meet our new friend Emily!
Here she is with her bracelet. She was the first one out of 50 gals to finish first!
A few more shots of the inside of the church. This is looking down from Shea and Debbies Studio. Saturday night was vendors night and some of the artist brought their goods to sell. Oh what talent was in that room!
Remember when I posted a week or so ago about the little pink dresses, well I baked those for each of the girls at the event.
Up in the studio they had it set up for us to do a make and take. Franc and I are all ready with glue gun in hand.............. The Fiskar company provided us with making a flower pin out of fabric and embelishments. Fiskar also gave each attendee 3 pair of fiskar scissors. Wow! What a great company and I know any of you who do crafts, sewing or whatever all own a pair of fiskar scissors...........we love Fiskar!
Nancy , Glenda and Emily doing the make and take............
Robin and Cindy are really getting into the make and take............you go girls!
To the right of me is Cheryl and Teresa from Duncan Oklahoma...........!
That is all for today...............I still have more to come!
Enjoy your saturday...............I am headed out to walk and then head to a wedding reception this afternoon for my nephew and his new bride............
