Not your typical " Little BLACK dress". Been baking a little this weekend. Thought you might like to see these..............more pictures later on where these little cuties are going..........
I made a few more dress pillows last week. I did these a little different. I used old dresser toppers for the back ground and then sewed the dress on top of them. I did back them with the natural linen.......

After some searching for the past year I finally found an old shopping cart! It was already this wonderful robins egg blue.............. I was so excited and could not wait to get it home and make the liner to go inside...............I have wanted one of these for some time but they are extremely hard to find. I found it at one of our local antique malls.
THis picture is not very good but I wanted you to see the two pockets I made out of old doillies. One pocket is for my phone and wallet and the other is for a bottle of water so I won't have to dig down to the bottom every time I need them. It will be great for shopping at different venues plus when I go to Market in Dallas for the bookstore. Anyway I just wanted to show you my new fun toy on wheels! It also collapses!

Last week when we were out of town I found this cute store in Eureka Springs called Something Simple! If you are ever in the area you have to stop. It is a lovely little store and the owner is a sweetheart. She is so creative, talented and fun to talk to. Her name is Kaylene and she makes you feel so welcome to this Cream and White home furnishing, accessory and other little delightful treasures store. ( Due to some phone issues I lost all my pictures of the front of her store but here are a few pictures from her website.
She makes alot of her merchandise and on her tags it says "Made by ME...........I thought it was a darling name for her creative creations. Her prices are really good!
This is the outside of the store. One reason I am so disappointed my photos from my phone are gone because now on the two post in the front of the store she has these darling green umbrellas sticking out going horizontally. They look whimsical, and that is why we had to turn around and go back because the umbrellas got my attention.
I made a few purchases. In fact I used one of them for the shower this week. Do you remember the white milk class holder that I had the pink peony napkins in........that was from there.
Like I said if you are ever in Eureka Springs or near by you need to make a special effort to visit this wonderful store. I promise you won't be disappointed!
I have forgotten to show you a couple pictures of a few more Wedding journals I made and sold after Glitter Market. For a special customer that was disappointed that they were all gone before she got to my booth..............

Well to let you know what has been going on, I have been busy getting ready for a wedding shower for a very special couple. Our sons best friend is getting married in July. He is like our son. He and Adam ( our son) were two peas in a pod growing up. Together all the time, he would go on vacations with us in the summer. His mom is also my Best Friend! So it was a special night. Well, if you listened to the news yesterday at all, in Oklahoma we were in Tornado alert all day...........it was a little scary for a while but it finally passed and we were able to have the shower after all.

I have been baking bread for 37 years. I LOVE to bake it and love the smell when it is baking. I don't do it as much as I use to for more reasons than I want to explain. But to say that this recipe is so easy and my mother in law gave it to me the first year we were married.
this is after it has risen 1 time. you punch it down and let it rise for a second time and then make whatever you want.......today I made a 13x9 full of these cinnamon rolls and two loaves of bread...
you let these rise once more and then put in the oven and bake............that is when you are so glad you took out the time to make them..........the house smells like, well you know what!

Once in a while it doesn't hurt to have a slice of white homemade bread toasted with real butter on it, does it?

June 30 Mermaid Class
These aren't the best pictures but if you go on the Paper Crown blog you can hopefully see a better picture that Cindy has taken. We will be using Catherine Moore's ( Character Construction) new line of stamps about the Sea, and we will be using some chalkboard glimmer mist, sea shells, glitter and more fun in the hot summertime making this Mermaid wall hanging than you have ever had! And all you gals that did not get in the class " The Recipe of Me" and are on the waiting list , we may have to have another one of these maybe in the fall or before Christmas. So if you did not get into this class just hang tight. I think it would be fun to have a Christmas Apron, don't you? Anyway I just thought I would throw that out to let you all know not to be disappointed if you did not get into the class. I'm not good at doing classes twice but since we had a big waiting list I thought it would be nice for everyone to make one of these. So you will have to wait for a few months.
Many of you know that I usually take the month of July off and not teach classes. So I am hoping the first week in June I will have my new classes for August and September samples and dates for you.
We will still have classes at the Paper Crown all summer long, it's just I personally take that month off. So keep checking the Paper Crown blog for all the excitement happening this summer. Remember Mix and Mingle last summer? We will be starting in June once again. We will let you all know in plenty of time the date and time. Summertime fun is just about to begin, keep checking in!
Even though it was one of the smallest classes, it was still so much fun. The girls worked hard and finished their circus boxes. They all turned out so darn cute!
Pam's husband did not take the class, he came to pick her up because she still has her cast on her foot!
We had a great time!
If you are wondering what papers we used for the class, they come from the Graphic 45 circus collection! The clown head is Catherine Moore's ( Character Construction) and the body stamp is an old stamp from Stampers Anonymous!
