If your like me I just can't sit and watch TV. I have to have something to do! So in the evening if I want to sit by the fire and get warm I pull out all my embroidery and hand sewing stash and stitch away. I always love making these little heart pillows. Here are just a few I have made this week.
This is my favorite......this little girl I made into a small little pillow and then she sits down in the pocket of the heart.........I need to make some more of these with the pocket. The picture below shows the pocket.
So tonight if your watching TV and want something to do.......... START STITCHING!

Valentine Tag Class- January 6- 5:30-9:00 Basic Shrink Plastic class for the beginner!
We will be making three sweet tags for your special Valentine! Each tag will have little sentiments in Shrink Plastic.
Valentine LOVE Banner January 13-5:30-9:00
We will be making this fun banner with heart playing cards, 4 different hearts will help spell the word LOVE and so many other elements will be added. Hopefully this will be one of your decorations to pull out every year for the big V-Day!
Valentine Fan Canvas- January 27- 5:30-9:00
We will be turning these fans into these cute little canvas dolls............
Each doll will be a little different because the fans are all different colors.
My mom gave me all these fans a while back and I came up with this. I know some of you may be cringing because I took them apart and cut them in half, but I tried everything I could think of to use the whole fan and it just wasn't to be. So this is what I decided to use them for, Paper Doll Skirts!
Hopefully one of these classes will spark your interest. Maybe take one or all of them. I may even have one more, but because of the short time between now and Feb. 14 I don't know if I can squeeze another one in. If you live in the Oklahoma City area and interested in these classes you can call the Paper Crown 405-848-2389. Hope to see you soon.

Isn't she beautiful...................My husband handed me this big bag on Christmas Eve and said it was from my friend that has the Doll Studio where I make go to make porcelain dolls! Well this is what she gave me for Christmas.............Isn't it incredible that her eyes and eyelashes are PAINTED! She is truly an incredible artist in her field. Below is the box she came in and a few more pictures.
This is a little out of focus and to bright but I wanted you to see what she was mounted on! I just thought you might like to see her.
Hope you are all having a great monday after the holiday.

I don't know about you......... but we had WAY to much of this over the holidays............I will give you the recipe for this delicious and very light pie. The cake is just a box cake and in between the layers I frosted it with butter cream frosting and spread raspberry jam. The pink frosting is buttercream frosting and then around the edge I split in half the Pepperidge Farm Creme filled French Vanilla Pirouette's........
Amaretto Cream Pie
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1/4 cup cold water
1 large pkg. cream cheese
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup almond flavor liqueur ( Amaretto)
2 cups heavy whipping cream
toasted sliced almonds
1 baked pie crust
Make and bake your pie crust. In a small bowl, soften gelatin in 1/4 cup cold water and let it set for 2 minutes. Microwave the gelatin mixture on high for 30 second intervals until dissolved approximately 1 minute. Set aside and let cool for 5 minutes.
In medium bowl, beat cream cheese , gradually beat in the sugar and then add the amaretto.
In another medium bowl beat the whipping cream until stiff peak forms. Stir in the gelatin mixture. Fold cream cheese mixture into cream mixture. Spoon into the crust and cover and refrigerate several hours before serving. Garnish with the toasted sliced almonds.
This is from one of Paula Deen's recipes. It really calls for a Graham Cracker crust but I wanted it in a regular crust. So if you wanted to do either I am sure each one is just as wonderful as the other! It is really light and after a heavy meal it is just perfect...............
Next week I will be posting the new classes and class dates for the month of January.......and a few photo peeks of the projects we will be making. Since Valentine's Day is just a few weeks away all the classes will be HEART themed!
It is sunday evening and it has been an incredible weekend. I hope everyone reading this had the most wonderful Christmas and looking forward to the New Year. I am excited to get this new year off in a big way.

Well I have kinda saved the best til last.....not really, but I love these little mugs. I found a picture and showed it to my friend that has a doll studio. She said she thought she had the mold..........well she did and here is the result. They are so cute. I do have to admit though I DID NOT PAINT those eyes. She did them for me. Isn't it amazing that someone can paint eyes to look that real. She travels all over to teach classes on these eyes. So this is the last giveaway for 2010. All you need to do this week before Christmas is leave me any comment you want. I know everyone is so busy with last minute shopping and all those last minute things to do before Christmas but if you want this cutie you need to leave me a comment before wednesday December 22. I will pick a winner and leave the results on Thursday December 23. If you are picked and live outside of the Oklahoma City area you won't be receiving this before Christmas, ( and I apologize) but I promise I will get it to you ASAP. Ans if you do live in the metro area I will get it to you before Christmas. So good luck!
I just love them...........I thought you might like to see another color. The winner will get the redish/pinkish with the blue bow.
I think they will also look cute with some real flowers in them.
Here's to a great day and week. Happy shopping, baking, eating and whatever your plans are!
