Meet Cindy and Franc...................

Those of you who don't live in Oklahoma City don't know who these two gals are, or maybe you do.  Well let me introduce you to Cindy ( owner of the paper crown) and Franc ( employee of the Paper Crown and also teaches classes)!  I have had the privilege to teach at the Paper Crown for several years and Cindy and Franc have been my biggest cheerleaders.  Always up beat and complimentary in every way.  Cindy is so easy to work for and has always given me free range on whatever I wanted to teach. And Franc makes the Paper Crown a fun place to shop and always helpful. So now you all know who I work and teach with  at the Paper Crown.  If you ever come to Oklahoma City stop in and say Hi to these two!

Yesterday at the Paper Crown we had a guest teacher!  And look what we all made.  They are so fun and our teacher was wonderful.  Her name is Ann Denise Anderson and you can go to her blog....... www.whimandfancydesigns.blogspot.com  Her original hangers are on her blog and you can tell better what they looked like.  I didn't need another Halloween decoration so I used a different picture, because I wanted to use this all year.   Thanks Ann we all had fun and she treated us royally with all kinds of goodies plus we had delicious dark chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting.......!  Hope she comes back soon.

I finally finished all the mini shadow pins!  I sure wish I had more of the little tins.  If anyone out there knows of or has any please let me know.

little shadow box pins

I got out some of my jewelry findings last night and thought I would play around.  This is what I came up with.  I bought these little rusty molds this summer while on vacation. ( now I wish I would of bought more)  I used the Tim Holtz fragments for the pictures and then added a little of this and a little of that!  And this is what I came up with.  I will attach a jewelry pin backing on the back. I have a few more to work on and will show you when I finish!

I wanted you to see these spools up close. Aren't they adorable!  These girls put their own special touches on them!  Anyway I just wanted to share these photos.  And thanks again girls for the fun evening!  

You all are probably getting tired of seeing spools!  Well get ready because you are going to see MORE!  Wait til you see the Christmas Spools!

What a great group of gals.  They all did an outstanding job on their Halloween Spools.  Each of them made 2 spools and finished.  Thanks girls it was a fun class.  We all ate Spider Pumpkin Cupcakes and Caramel Creme Wafers......................   

Fall decorating and baking

That is what I have done for my fall decorating!  I only wish the gorgeous roses in the picture above would last.........yes they are real, and the most beautiful fall color!  My dear friend is a wonderful florist and when she has left over flowers from an event she calls and asks if I want them......duh!  So yesterday she called and when I went to pick them up this is what I got.  I wish you could smell and see them, since you can't I took a picture so you could enjoy them to.     

FALL baking...........tonight I am teaching class, so of course I needed to bake!  These two recipes are what I came up with.  Staying with the Fall Halloween theme........

  
This is what they look like before you use a toothpick to slide through the circles to make the webs. So easy to do.  You could do this to any cupcake/frosting of your choice.  I made pumpkin ginger cupcakes with cream cheese frosting out of this wonderful cupcake recipe book.

I think I bought it at Williams Sonoma.

Caramel Creme Wafer Cookies..............these are delicious.  They look like a cross between Peanut Butter Cookies and the Cream Wafers.  But they aren't.  They are to die for and really really rich.  My friend Jill gave me this recipe. 

I'll let you know how the girls like the goodies!

For those of you that live in the Oklahoma City metro area and attended any of the Paper Crown Mix and Mingles this summer, Cindy has decided to continue to have them this fall.  We have had to change it from the last tuesday of each month to the last MONDAY of the month.  So mark your calendars girls and get ready for some fun.  Remember make and take, refreshments and always 20% off entire purchase!

Spools/Journals

This little guy was so cute I had to make a spool. You just want to pinch his little  pink cheeks! 

So was he.

 

I used my flash on the last two pictures...they aren't the greatest but at least you can see what the spools look like.
