So last week I decided to start organizing my STUFF............let's just say I did not inherit my moms organizing skills or my husbands!!!!!!!!!! But I have gotten to the point that things I knew I had are so buried under other things that something had to happen..........here is the start but I have a long way to go.......
So many of you have been to class in my home and know how little my studio room is...I out grew it the first year we lived here going on 23 years ago .........I get so frustrated but then when I have had enough I decide to get down and organize and see what all I have.........and let's just say i have plenty!!!!! More big bins are being bought today to hopefully organize all the rest of this mess.....maybe by the end of the week I can show you the AFTER photos of the big fat mess.........
anyway just thought you would enjoy seeing what I have been looking at TRYING to create and wonder why my brain is frozen........more to come...
happy tuesday....stay warm everyone!!!!!

While in Scottsdale one afternoon a couple of the gals took me shopping and I splurged a little on these two sweet Dee Faust dolls.......I could not resist them.........they had my name written all over..........like I need another doll....but I figured they would work for Valentines Day and Easter so why not....The tall one is Priscilla and her little sister is Sarah.......the lady who sold them to me said that was their names so I am sticking with those....
wishing you all a happy wednesday...........the weather is still really cold here in Oklahoma but a lot of the snow that fell yesterday has melted on the streets and just a trace on the yard, so we are all happy about that....hope its pleasant where you are.........remember " Do something creative today"..................

The final class was this darling truck with Mr.Bunny inside......this one is Terri's.......the only thing I did on mine was soldering the box the bunny stands in.....when I get my box from Scottsdale I will hopefully finish mine and share a photo........so many of the girls did the same thing because they were traveling and did not want to assemble the truck to pack.....so I really do not have any photos of the others.......
The last day is always sad but everyone is eager to clean up and say their goodbyes.....kind of bitter sweet! All in all it was another terrific Terri Brush Art Camp.........awesome classes, wonderful and delicious food, a lot of laughter and talking, making new friends and reconnecting with old friends, and in the most beautiful place to create in...... 4 days to relax and get those creative juices flowing.........like I always say you get so wrapped up in what you are doing we forget to take photos......makes me so sad ........oh well I always say I am going to do better and maybe I will from here on out! If you are ever in one of my classes PLEASE remind me.....I am so sorry I did not get a photo with each of you........
All around Carey's home she has multiple citrus trees and we were blessed to pick and indulge in as much as we wanted.......and we did! Have you ever had or seen a real pink lemon? I have always thought pink lemonade was colored with pink food coloring duh duh .........anyway..........one day for dessert I made Lemon Bars and used the lemons off of their trees.....oh my goodness.........what a treat to just go outside and pick lemons to use for baking......every morning I had an orange and always lots of oranges in my water......
This group photo on the last day says it all with each smile on their faces......I want to say THANK YOU to each attendee..........you all did an amazing job on your Sacred Heart Journals.... even though so many did not finish they were all so beautiful .......... you were so enthusiastic to get in their and dig through lace etc. to create the covers.....hope you all enjoy them as much as I did having you in class...
And Thank You to Terri for inviting me to teach.........now I know why she has asked me the last several years to come and teach in Scottsdale.....I get it now......your the best!!!!
And Thanks to our wonderful Host and Hostess for opening up their home to all of us crazy creative women...........not to many people I know would do such a kind gesture.....thank you from the bottom of my heart.......I hope our paths cross again soon.......jackie

The photo above is Terri's sample of our project for day 2...........of course everyone brought their own vintage perfume/cologne bottles........they were all amazing! I did get a few photos and when mine comes back from my things I shipped I will finish and show you.......but I did get some of the charms soldered on the 3rd day thanks To Terri! I am not the greatest soldering student...
The Crown above is Tiffany's masterpiece.......absolutely gorgeous.......she has super talents for sure............
Several of the girls did a full circle crown........then a few of us decided to just do the front 3 bottles and leave it open in the back.....I will use mine with a vase in back to use for flowers.......they were really so much fun to make and everyone's was so different and beautiful.........
These are the charm/pendants for hanging as a necklace or I am going to hang a few of mine off of the crown bottles......you can use these in so many different ways! I really need to clean and polish mine ........
Terri giving us all instructions...........
And we did not lack in the dessert category..........Miss Shelly made the delicious shortbread cookies with the chocolate designs........they tasted as good as they looked!!!!!
And Miss Tiffany made these delicious Coconut Cupcakes and the Caramel bars from my first post..........like I said we did not starve.........
the soldering queens.........it truly is a process and if you only do it once a year ( like ME) you really have to concentrate and get a rhythm going to make it look half way decent! Some of these gals are pro's and it shows........but all in all we had fun on the 2nd and 3rd day!
the weather could not of been more perfect except the last day was a little rainy but most of the time we all enjoyed sitting outdoors in the beautiful surroundings...........
In the evenings we enjoyed Scottsdale dining........always a fun time to relax and get to know each other.......
Well that is day 2 and 3 , tomorrow I will share a little from the last day.............
Hope you all enjoy this weekend..........I know I will!!!!! I love going but I am so glad to be home.........I am a homebody!!!!!!!

I am back from a week in Scottsdale for one of Terri Brush's Art Camps...........and wow did we all have a wonderful time together creating, laughing, talking, eating , enjoying the wonderful outdoors in January and meeting up with new and old friends.......and being spoiled from our host and hostess John and Carey! I really don't even know what to say but Thank You for opening up your beautiful home and for being so gracious and generous to all of the attendees , helpers and teachers.........I can say this it was something I will never forget!
These are a few photos just to highlight what we made the first day and the smiling talented faces with a few 4 legged friends...........
The first day I taught this Sacred Heart Stitch Journal............each girl picked whatever color velvet and image to use on the front and then they mixed and matched the lace .........they all did an amazing job stitching and adding little bits and pieces......I wish I had photos of all of their covers but time ran out and so many did not finish....hopefully when they do I will share the photos.........
Their kits were inside this folded silver paper placemat I made into an envelope.......
Enjoying the Arizona sun while eating our lunch...........I could do this everyday and never get tired of the warm weather in January
The food was amazing thanks to Shelly and Donna..............plus Jen and Carey treated us with an amazing charcuterie board with John's amazing Salsa and Tiffany's Caramel Bars........
And our 4 four legged friends.........meet Harper, Scout, Bodie and Oliver...............
this was a few highlights from the first day tomorrow I will have more to share......
Have a great Wednesday and "Do something creative today..........."

Like I say every time Miss Noodle and Lou comes out with a new girl that it is my favorite.........well this one has to be one of my favorites.......and because I love Valentine's Day .....here she is in all her hearts and pink, red and blues.....
I did something a little different this time on the skirt....I punch needled to give it some dimension...at first I wasn't sure but when everything was finished it grew on me and a little change is always good.........I also used some different thread that I found a while back at a store that was going out of business...it has a little fuzzy to it and it specifically says on the packaging used for punch needle, and I like the way it looks on certain things ( I even used a little of it on my 12 days of Christmas)......anyway I thought I would share her and I know Jenn will have these for sell on her website this week sometime....don't miss out on this one.......and if you live in Texas and want to take a class from Jenn she is offering this one at the Paper Crown Waco on Saturday feb. 11 from 1-5...........wish I was coming to do another one.........
Hope you all are doing well and I will be back next week...............happy stitching........

Over the holidays for the first time I can remember I did not do any baking at all..........shame on me but with the kids not coming and just to be baking because I just didn't feel like for just the 2 of us that we DID NOT need anything extra...........so to make up for lost calories and goodies I decided to bake bread and cinnamon rolls this morning......and so glad I did because I love the smell off fresh baked bread......come on who doesn't!!!!!
Hope your enjoying the weekend.........we are with the sun shining and fresh bread and cinnamon rolls we are doing just fine over here!!!
