Well another year has rolled by................Happy New Year to all of you who stopped by today and any other time on this blog! In the past 3 years it amazes me how time flies and how many people you meet on a blog! I never dreamed what this would turned out to be! Thank You everyone! Really.... I'm not just saying this I really do mean it! Another thing is I can't believe I am on my 700th post today! What a way to start the New Year!
I am not a new year resolution person and never have been........this year in 2013 I do have a couple of goals........
the first one is to turn my Christmas present from my husband into a fun little ride.......
GOAL # 1
Meet my 1965 FORD Econoline truck! She is a dandy and I hope to have her up and running and PAINTED by spring............my color of choice will be TURQUOISE! She runs now but she needs a new pair of brakes and a couple other minor adjustments! Anyway you will probably see a few more post on her!
GOAL # 2
I am going to learn how to knit! My first Beginner class starts tomorrow ! I am so excited and I will let you know how it goes............I did crochet a baby blanket before our son was born ( 33 years ago) but never even thought I would take the leap into the world of knitting!
GOAL # 3
I hope I will be a good mother in law to the newly engaged couple! The wedding will be in September!
Well that is what my New Year Goals for 2013! What are your goals for the NEw Year?
Have a great first day of 2013................

Happy New Year! I want to go for a joy ride with you!!!

What a truck! How fun!
I always set resolutions, write things down, look forward to accomplishing my goals. I usually lose track of where I am and how I'm supposed to be doing certain things, but it's kind of amazing to look back at my old writings and see all that I have accomplished of things I wrote down and "forgot" about!
Looking forward to seeing your posts about your new ride!

Jackie, I love your new "truckster"....and I think turquoise is her color!!! You can load her with all kinds of precious cargo...my hope for the new year is just to try and stay in the moment & enjoy life. Oh yeah, I'd like to do all sorts of things & maybe I just will!!!...

Oh, my - looks like fun - can't wait to see it painted. I have never really made resolutions either - I always say that my resolution is to not make resolutions. I sometimes do like you and make goals. My husband and son usually make goals also - last year our son said he was going to get healthy and he has lost 40 pounds and has cut out most meat and is running marathons - this years goal for him is to learn enough French to have a conversation with his wife. And I'm like Susie - I wish my dad had taught me Italian - but in those days they were trying to drop their native languages. Wishing you and yours a Happy New Year - we say this one has to be a better one for us!

I'm with you....no resolutions, just goals. My #1 goal is to learn German so I can communicate with my brother easily and teach my granddaughter the language of her great-grandmother. I so wish my mother would have spoke more German to me growing up, but she was set on me being a little American girl. Love your truck! Can't wait to see it finished! Hugs and Happy New Year!
