My favorite memory is when my oldest was 8 she got up early to make me breakfast and surprise me with breakfast in bed. It was so sweet! Of course, the eggs were scorched and the toast was burned but I ate it anyway, Kodak moments!

Jackie, although I have had some wonderful mother's days with my own children, my best mother's day memory is when I surprised my own mom about 12 years ago. She was living in NC at the time and had had back surgery. I took my then 2 year old daughter and flew in to surprise her for mother's day and help take care of her. We had a special day together, and made a great memory.

I have so many wonderful Mother's Day memories with my grandmother, my mother, and after I became a mother. But the one that really sticks in my mind was nine years ago My mother died on April Fools Day; so that Mother's Day was our first without our mother. My sister and I were so lost; we had no idea how to celebrate, what to celebrate, where to go......we were two lost children! We had all been so close and each celebration had such tradition. We have learned to celebrate her life, our grandmother's and our own on Mother's Day. We honor the Mother's who were here before us and pray for those who will follow.

I think all my Mother's Day's have been memorable. My kids always make me feel so special. This gorgeous glove would make me feel real special, too...BIG SMILE!

I don't really have a perticular memory of 1 Mother's Day...but the joy of being a Mother and having the Mother I have , the Grandmothers I had and being B is the Best memories Anyone could possibly want or need...Growing up we, as women, didn't have a lot of choices in our "Professions"... ALL I ever wanted to be was a Wife and a Mother...I can't tell you I was always the best...but I have 2 amazing Son's and I guess that is all the proof I need!!! Thanks for always sharing and getting us to look deep within!!! Have a wonderful week...

I love your embellished glove - another great piece! I miss my mother and wish she was here to see my kids and so my kids could know how great and talented she was. She was a great cook, she had a great eye for fashion and accessories. Happy Mother Day to mothers everywhere!

Oh Jackie ~ what a wonderful giveaway and I know it will go to someone who will love it!
I was always so proud of my mom - I thought she was so pretty, and funny, and kind, and everything I always wanted to be. She set the best example of what being a mom is. I hope she knew how much I loved and appreciated her...Mother's Day is a difficult one for me now without her here to celebrate but I'm grateful for my other "moms" that I love.

Wow Jackie, Mother's Day for me brings with it so many memories of Gregory. But there is one that I must share even at the expense of the pain it triggers in me. He eagerly gifted me one year with an outline drawing of his very own hand. I have had it all these years. Nothing would give me greater pleasure than to place this slightly aged drawing inside a glove that has been beautifully handcrafted by a wonderful artist and an inspiring friend. Happy Mother's Day to you Jackie.

Love your glove classes. Gloves have always been special to me because I remember my grandmother wearing them all the time. She had gloves to clean in, gloves she wore to drive in, gloves she wore to pick up pecans in and gloves that she wore at night to bed. I have several pair of her gloves and am trying desperately to locate them in hopes you repeat the "glove book class". You are always so creative!!!

margie

I don't remember well, but I do remember the great great joy I felt at being a mother, and particularly, the mother of a daughter. I was astounded that I would be presented with this wonderful gift and remember being totally shocked when Jud said, "It's a girl."

Lovely, Jackie!!!

Your glove is adorable! I love Mother's Day. I remember the first one I was actually recognized as a mother at church, 8 yrs ago just before I had my son. I felt akward walking up to the front of the church, but was told that I was already a mother and shouldn't feel weird about it as I was being nearly dragged up there! :-)
I still thought I should have waited to be recognized as a mother AFTER my son was born. Definitely a memorable Mother's Day.

Too cute!

My First Mother’s day was eight years ago, when I was 41, I remember wake up really happy and filled like I was walking on clouds all day long.

I just found your blog a couple weeks ago and I love it.
Thank You for the opportunity,

LindaSonia

The glove is gorgeous! Only have ever been a Mom to the many cats that have let me own them!!

Oh, I would love to have this glove! Well, unfortunately I don't remember my first Mother's Day, but it was very soon after our son was born because today is his 45th BD, so MD came just a couple of weeks after he was born. But, one I do remember was a couple of years ago - our son and daughter-in-law took me and her mother to see the Decorators' Show House and then to lunch - just us, without the dads. Was really fun for them to make it a special day just for us moms.
