I don't know if you can tell what this is.........orangie pinkie crinkle fabric. So fun and I am trying to decide what I can do with it. I love the irredescent look it has. Baby Mac now at 6 months..........is that not the sweetest face! Baby Mac came for dinner to visit with Uncle Adam and Caryn. I just had to show you how much he has grown.
Thursday Night class
Maria on the left ( she came all the way from Georgia) and Nan..........I was so happy to see Nan feeling better. She's been gone wayyyyyyyyyy to long! Remember in April when we made Mother's Day Shoes, Maria came for that class. Come back anytime Maria! And THANKS for my goodies! ( I'll show you all on another post what she brought me)

Wow! These girls really did an outstanding job on their Halloween legs. Great job girls and thanks for being so understanding and sweet.
I am leaving you all with this picture of sweet Sam. ( Samantha) Adam adopted her when he was in Law School and she has been by his side ever since. They left yesterday. We had a wonderful time while they were here. They are on their way to Arkansas for a Charity climb. Hopefully they will be back for the Holidays!

This is a little funky crazy goofy Halloween necklace that is made out of shrink plastic and a few little odds and ends. October/November 2010 Issue of American Cowboy......................Ever so often our son has been in several climbing magazines. He is never boastful about it and casually will show us if we are in a Barnes and Noble or any book store. Anyway today he came in with this American Cowboy magazine and said remember last year at Halloween when a bunch of his climbing friends were suppose to dress up and he was the only one that showed up in costume..............well here is one of the pictures and the article his buddy wrote for this Cowboy Magazine. Pretty funny.
My Dad was a big cowboy and dressed everyday in western wear. He had so many pairs of boots and most of them were handmade especially for him. When my dad passed away my mom gave each of the grandkids a pair. The boots he has on this picture were my Dad's.
I thought since he was home and I posted earlier about his climbing I knew you all needed to know that he has also been a Cowboy.............go figure!
Some of you know that our son is a big climber.............so is his girlfriend. The top picture is of Caryn ( Adam's girlfriend) and the second picture is of Adam..........they are home for a few days to visit before they head to Arkansas for a charity climb. They have been climbing all over this summer in Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Oregon, Washington and Canada..............Can you believe my son does this and to find a girl that loves it just as much as he does is incredible. Oh to be young again.

This little stamp is something that I had seen on another blog and just had to have it. I called the store in California to order one and of course they were sold out.........and I can see why. She is so cute and can be used in so many different ways. So I decided to make these into name tags for the girls in my class this week. I don't know if you can tell in these photos but this stamp has two parts. One is the face and the second is the shadow of the face. Just thought I would share this with you. The stamp company is called Pink Persimmon and the doll is Lottie! ( you know I am a sucker for anything paper dolls and dolls)
Several years ago on vacation in southern California I stumbled across a wonderful store called Roger's Garden! It is incredible. If you are ever in the area of Laguna/Corona Del Mar hunt down this wonderful place. Anyway the first time I went I fell in love with these Snow Children. I bought two the first year of a little boy and girl all wrapped in white glitter winter clothing. I have used them every year for Christmas decorating. They are approximately 15-18 inches tall. The artist is Elaine Roesle . The dolls are all signed and numbered. Well this year we stopped and guess what? They had Halloween Snow CHildren and I just had to have one. They are so sweet. I don't have a lot of Halloween decorations so I thought I would add her to my collection! Don't you just love her. I am not sure if she has a website. I need to check into it! Thought I would share her with you. When I get out my Christmas decorations I will show you the Christmas Snow Children.
My dear friend just got back from New York City and the US Open and she brought me back this wonderful surprise from Magnolia Bakery! Pink Cupcake t shirt and some cute blue sprinkles for cupcakes and a bag! Thanks Jill! I just heard or read that they now have opened Magnolia Bakery in the Los Angeles area.

Hope you all had a wonderful week. As you all know if you read my earlier posts that I was away for a few days. I was in Dallas and guess what.........we were right in the middle of the tornado that went through Dallas on wednesday afternoon late. Long story short we are okay...........It was really kind of weird because we didn't even know what was going on. It was rainy and dark all day and by the late afternoon the sky turned a little different and I thought the clouds looked a little funnely and all of a sudden we were in traffic and the sirens went off..........! I'm home safe and sound and thankful for a fun few days to get away with my dearest friend!

I tried to get a few pictures of Girdie with the lights off in the store. They did not turn out great but you can see kinda what she looks like. I wanted her to look sophisticated fallish and not to scary.........
The branch with the magnolia leaves was something I found one morning when I was taking my morning walk. I thought it looked like a broom. At least that is what I wanted it to look like.
This is what she looks like from the side. We hung metal stars and a black frame to frame the hat. I did not make the hat. She usually has on a Crown but I couldn't come up with a Witch Crown. I hope to get some better pictures.
Anyway this is what Girdie looks like for the Fall Season.
The picture below is Girdie 2009..........she had a pumpkin head last year. I thought I had more pictures of her but this is the only one I could find. If I find the rest I will post them. Two entirely different looks. It is so much fun trying to come up with something different every season. Sometimes it is so easy and other times it takes a little more brain storming. I always try to dress her with PAPER but I do use other elements.
